The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom takes a tour of its various regions in a new Traversing Hyrule trailer

As a seasoned adventurer who’s traversed the vast landscapes of Hyrule countless times, I must say, Nintendo has truly outdone themselves with The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. The opportunity to play as Zelda herself, exploring regions we know and love, is nothing short of exhilarating!

Nintendo recently unveiled a sneak peek of “The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom“, the upcoming Zelda title where Zelda takes center stage as the primary character. This preview offers a glimpse into several areas across Hyrule that players will traverse, along with various features like Travel Waypoints, Smoothie Shops, and two fresh abilities for players to test out while controlling Zelda.

The video highlights four different areas – the Gerudo Desert, Jabus Waters, Eldin Volcano, and Faron Wetlands – which are among the destinations for Zelda. In these locales, characters like the Gerudo Tribe and Zora will be encountered. These regions may present various challenges that the players must overcome using Zelda’s new abilities in Echoes of Wisdom.

To move quickly across the game world, there are designated spots called waypoints where players can instantly teleport to different locations. Additionally, exploring the landscape can be done at a faster pace by riding horses. When Zelda masters the art of creating Carrot Echoes, she will be able to summon a horse and ride it anytime she desires.

During Zelda’s journey, she may come across characters known as Business Scrubs. Interacting with them will provide her access to Smoothie Shops. These shops enable her to mix together items she has gathered during gameplay. The resulting smoothies offer a range of benefits, including restoring health points, boosting recovery potency, enhancing elemental resistances, and more.

To summarize, the game Echoes of Wisdom provides an in-depth explanation of two abilities: Bind and Reverse Bond. With the Bind ability, players can attach Zelda to objects or enemies, enabling movements such as rolling massive boulders into pits, pushing enemies off cliffs, or even using spiky hazards as weapons by binding with them.

In the Reverse Bond feature, Zelda’s actions are affected by an object or foe she’s connected to, rather than the usual interaction. For example, with this bond active, Zelda could grab hold of a bird and fly, as she becomes tethered to it.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom launches on September 26 for the Nintendo Switch.
