The Last Of Us Season 3 Announced Before Season 2 Has Even Premiered

Before the debut of Season 2 of HBO’s The Last of Us, it has been revealed that there will be a Season 3. Given that showrunners Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann have consistently stated that Season 2 would only cover a portion of the story from The Last of Us Part II, this was essentially anticipated.

In a statement released through Variety, Mazin expressed that as we embarked on Season 2, our aim was to produce something we could all take pride in. Remarkably, what we achieved surpassed even our highest expectations, an achievement made possible by our ongoing partnership with HBO and the exceptional talent demonstrated by our outstanding cast and crew.

In his own words, Druckmann expressed that working on the television series has been an exceptional milestone in his career. He also shared his heartfelt gratitude towards the fans for their passionate and immense backing.

On this coming Sunday, April 13th, The Last of Us Season 2 will premiere! You’ll see Pedro Pascal reprising his role as Joel, alongside Bella Ramsey returning as Ellie. In addition, we have Kaitlyn Dever joining the cast as Abby for this season.

It can’t be for nothing. Season 3 is coming. #TheLastOfUs
