At the SXSW event over the weekend, HBO unveiled the trailer for the second season of “The Last of Us” during a panel with the show’s actors and makers.
The trailer is as full of monsters and violence as Season 1 was — with a lot more fire.
The narrative begins by following Ellie (portrayed by Bella Ramsey) stealthily navigating an abandoned structure, her actions suggesting she’s on edge due to a potential threat lurking nearby. Pieces of shattered glass scatter the ground, and a stray dog ambles about in the backdrop. The scene then transitions to reveal close-ups of a man’s arm adorned with a watch and what appears to be a graveyard filled with thin wooden crosses, each adorned with a medallion.
The story starts off showing Ellie (played by Bella Ramsey) quietly moving through an empty building due to a sense of danger nearby. There’s broken glass on the floor and a dog wandering around. Later, we see close-ups of a man wearing a watch and what looks like a graveyard with lots of thin wooden crosses, each one has a medallion attached.
The actors Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, Gabriel Luna, Kaitlyn Dever, Isabela Merced, and Young Mazino joined series creators Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann on a SXSW panel.

The executive producers include Mazin, Druckmann, Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Halley Gross is the co-executive producer and writer.
