As a dedicated viewer who’s been through the highs and lows of post-apocalyptic narratives, I can hardly contain my excitement for HBO’s lineup in 2025! The teaser they unveiled was like a sweet symphony to my television-loving soul.

HBO unveiled previews for numerous significant shows arriving in 2025, such as the second season of “The Last of Us,” the third installment of “White Lotus,” the “Game of Thrones” spinoff titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” and additional series.

The sneak peek for “House of the Dragon” Season 2 was shared just prior to its Sunday evening finale, giving us a glimpse into the show’s future episodes slated for 2024 and offering a brief tease of what we can expect next year.

Here are some upcoming shows set to premiere in 2024: “The Penguin,” a spin-off from Matt Reeves’ “Batman” series, “Dune: Prophecy,” a prequel focusing on the Bene Gesserit from Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune” films, season 3 of both “Industry” and “The Sex Lives of College Girls,” season 5 of “Harley Quinn,” and James Gunn’s animated DC series “Creature Commandos.”

The sneak peek ended with fresh clips from shows scheduled for 2025, including a glimpse at “White Lotus” Season 3 set in Thailand, as well as previews for “And Just Like That” Season 3, “The Gilded Age” Season 3, the prequel series “Welcome to Derry,” inspired by the “It” horror films, “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” and “The Last of Us” Season 2.

The sneak peek for “The Last of Us” showcased the appearances of Pedro Pascal reprising his role as Joel, Bella Ramsey returning as Ellie, and Gabriel Luna making a comeback as Tommy. Additionally, Isabela Merced was introduced as the new character Dina, Jeffrey Wright as Isaac, and Catherine O’Hara’s character remained enigmatic.

Originally, HBO shared a preliminary photo featuring Pedro Pascal as the complex character Joel, who serves as a fatherly figure to Bella Ramsey’s Ellie. Similar to the first season of “The Last of Us,” which was based on the highly-rated 2013 video game, Season 2 is anticipated to delve into the storyline from its 2020 sequel, “The Last of Us Part II.” This sequel explores the consequences of Joel’s actions in the season finale.
