‘The Last Drive-In’ Season 7 Sets Ice Nine Kills Frontman Spencer Charnas as First Guest, Shudder Debuts Trailer (EXCLUSIVE)

Joe Bob Briggs returns on “The Last Drive-In” as Shudder unveils the initial trailer for their variety show’s upcoming seventh season, set to air on March 7.

Apart from fresh episodes and multiple two-part shows, the program has revealed that Spencer Charnas, lead singer of the heavy metal band Ice Nine Kills with a horror focus, will make a guest appearance in the opening episode. The show, led by Joe Bob Briggs and Darcy the Co-host, hinted at its upcoming season’s programming, including a special 100th birthday celebration for what they call “the first great American horror film.” This seventh season aims to explore over thirty horror genre titles.

As a dedicated movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that “The Last Drive-In With Joe Bob Briggs” is back on March 7 at 9 pm ET! You can catch it on Shudder TV and AMC+ TV feeds. Each month’s episode will debut on the first Friday, with subsequent episodes available on demand on Shudder and AMC+ following their premiere. This upcoming season, Season 7, promises to be our longest yet, spanning a total of 12 episodes! The grand finale is set for Feb. 6, 2026. Can’t wait to join you again for another exciting journey through the world of cinema!

Created by Matt Manjourides and Justin Martell from Not The Funeral Home, “The Last Drive-In” made its initial appearance in July 2018, reviving a tradition of horror critique and movie selection that started with Briggs’ ’90s TNT series “MonsterVision.” Some titles displayed during the latest season last year were “Donnie Darko,” “The Toxic Avenger,” “Carnival of Souls,” “Death Spa,” and all episodes of Season 7 are directed by Austin Jennings.
