I’m totally hooked on A Very Jonas Christmas Movie! It’s already a huge hit, and it’s so fun watching Nick, Kevin, and Joe play themselves as they try to get home to New York for the holidays. It’s the first time all three brothers have been in a full-length movie together since Camp Rock 2 way back in 2010, which is wild to think about!
A Very Jonas Christmas quickly became one of the most popular titles on Disney+, debuting at number three in the U.S. just days after it premiered on November 14th. This ranking combines both movies and TV shows watched on the platform.
Currently, only two movies are performing better: the 2025 comedy Freakier Friday and the superhero film The Fantastic Four: First Steps. It’s one of only two holiday movies in the Top 10 as of November 16th – just two weeks before Thanksgiving. The other is the 2006 film The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, which is at number nine.
It’s still uncertain how long the new holiday movie will stay popular, but it looks set to attract viewers eager for festive content. Disney+ doesn’t have any other holiday releases planned until after Thanksgiving, with Prep & Landing: The Snowball Protocol arriving on November 28th and new episodes of Holiday Baking Championship starting on November 29th.
The new movie A Very Jonas Christmas (with seven original songs from the Jonas Brothers) is doing well and might even reach the top of the charts, which would likely make it a popular streaming choice. If it’s successful, the Jonas Brothers may be more inclined to act together in other movies and TV shows.
Before 2010, the Jonas Brothers appeared in several acting roles. They played themselves in the 2009 TV show Jonas, and took on fictional characters in the movies Camp Rock and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
Following their split in 2013 and reunion in 2019, the Jonas Brothers mainly released content through documentaries like the 2020 concert film Happiness Continues, and specials such as the 2021 Jonas Brothers Family Roast and Olympic Dreams Featuring Jonas Brothers. They also made a cameo appearance as themselves in a 2020 episode of the Netflix series Dash & Lily, which Nick Jonas helped produce.
The popularity of A Very Jonas Christmas Movie might lead to the Jonas Brothers acting together more often, potentially returning to the level of visibility they had during their Disney Channel days.
