Khazan” is scheduled to receive a free DLC (Downloadable Content) package, tentatively set for release in May 2025. However, this isn’t the only exciting addition that developer Neople has planned for “The First Berserker: Khazan” in the upcoming months.
On March 27th, Neople’s newest soulslike game hit the shelves for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC platforms. Critics have largely responded favorably to The First Berserker: Khazan, commending it for its swift battles and cel-shaded graphics, among other merits. Currently, the game boasts a “Strong” rating on OpenCritic, derived from an average score of 80 and a 79% recommendation rate from reviewers.
After the launch of “The First Berserker: Khazan” in late March, developer Neople has revealed their plans for the game, which involve at least one free DLC pack coming by May. Exact details about this upcoming content are yet to be disclosed, but Neople has promised to reveal more information as the update nears completion and a release date is confirmed.
More The First Berserker: Khazan Changes Coming Soon
Meanwhile, a South Korean developer is continuously perfecting their latest soulslike game, taking into account early player opinions. To accomplish this, Neople has already deployed several balancing updates for “The First Berserker: Khazan”, with the most recent one launched on April 4 (version 496652 on PC and 01.003.034/1.1.3.34 on consoles). This update modifies the method of acquiring gear by linking gear level to the total experience and Lacrima a player has earned, rather than basing it on character level. Consequently, resetting the character level will no longer impact gear acquisition.
In a blog post published towards the end of March 2025, Neople hinted at another update for the game “The First Berserker: Khazan” in April. This update follows the deployment of patch 496652. Similar to the previous two updates, this release is anticipated to primarily address balance adjustments and bug corrections.
After the upcoming update, the game developer is now focusing on implementing a feature that allows you to toggle between Easy and Normal difficulties during the same gaming session, which was initially absent in the original release of “The First Berserker: Khazan”. However, due to player feedback, Neople has decided to reconsider this choice and eventually add this option into the game.
