If you already own The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition on Switch, this update is free. You’ll find it on the eShop listed at no cost when you search for Skyrim. If you have the original Skyrim game, you can upgrade to the Anniversary Edition for $19.99. New players can purchase the Anniversary Edition as a complete game for $59.99 on Switch 2. Please note that the game requires 53GB of storage space on Switch 2.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition is now released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch (including the new model), Xbox, and PC.

This version includes the original game, all three official expansions (Dawnguard, Dragonborn, and Hearthfire), and hundreds of new items created by the community. If you already have Skyrim Anniversary Edition on your Nintendo Switch, you can download it for free on the new Nintendo Switch 2.

  • All versions are available exclusively as digital downloads

If you already have Skyrim on Nintendo Switch and want to play the Anniversary Edition on the new Nintendo Switch 2, here’s how to get it:

  • Install the Nintendo Switch version on the Nintendo Switch 2 by transferring the game, downloading it from the eShop or inserting the physical cartridge 
  • Launch the title. The eShop banner will appear on the title’s main menu. 
  • Press “Y” to access the content of the eShop 
  • Proceed through the prompts to purchase and/or download The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Anniversary Edition through the eShop 

Please note, this will install as a new application on your Nintendo Switch 2.
