The Division Definitive Edition Spotted In The Wild

It looks like Ubisoft is releasing a definitive edition of The Division. This is happening while they continue to update The Division 2, develop a new sequel called The Division 3, and also work on a mobile game, The Division Resurgence.

Recently, ads for a potential The Division Definitive Edition popped up in Japan, but it’s unclear if they’re genuine. At the same time, new The Division merchandise appeared, which IGN suggests might be rewards for a future esports competition.

Originally launched in 2016, The Division will celebrate its 10th anniversary in 2026. That year will also be a big one for gaming, with anniversaries for Donkey Kong (45 years), The Legend of Zelda (40 years), Sonic (35 years), Pokemon and Resident Evil (both 30 years), and Halo (25 years). Even the United States will be celebrating a milestone – its 250th anniversary!

TopMob has contacted Ubisoft for comment on the supposed The Division Definitive Edition.

If a remastered version of this game is in development, it would likely include improved graphics and performance, plus all previously released downloadable content. Since the original game came out on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, a new version could be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. However, this is just speculation. The director of The Division 3, Julian Gerighty, recently described the game as incredibly ambitious. While it was first revealed in 2023, details about the project remain scarce.
