As a longtime gamer and media enthusiast, I’m always keeping an eye out for the latest developments in the world of streaming entertainment. Having subscribed to multiple services for years, I’ve grown accustomed to juggling various accounts and keeping track of my monthly expenses. So, when Disney and Warner announced their new bundle deal, my interest was piqued.
More recently, Disney and WarnerMedia (previously known as Warner Bros. Discovery) unveiled their intentions this year to offer a combined subscription package featuring their individual streaming platforms – Disney+, Hulu, and Max. Now, we have the initial information disclosed regarding this bundled deal.
Beginning now, you can subscribe to Disney+, Hulu, and Max as a bundled package with two different price points. The first option is an ad-supported plan priced at $16.99 per month. This alternative saves you approximately $10 compared to the individual monthly costs of all three ad-supported streaming services. If you prefer an ad-free experience, the cost will be $29.99 a month – roughly $7 less than the separate prices for each ad-free tier ($37 in total).
Those who subscribe to the Ultimate Bundle first will get access to watch “The Penguin” on Max and HBO starting September 19. Meanwhile, “Agatha All Along” will be available on Disney+ a day earlier, on September 18. Additionally, Disney+ will release the new Star Wars series, titled “Skeleton Crew,” later in the year.
Disney+ and Hulu can be accessed together via the same app or Disney+’s website. Max, however, will remain as a standalone app and streaming service. A competing bundle from Comcast is on the horizon, featuring Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+. Yet, this offer is exclusive to Comcast subscribers.
I’m a big fan of all three streaming platforms, but recently, I’ve heard some exciting news about Netflix. They’ve announced that they won’t be pursuing similar deals with their competitors directly. According to a company representative, they’re already the go-to destination for entertainment due to the extensive and diverse range of content and exceptional viewing experience they offer. So, I’m looking forward to more great shows and movies from Netflix!
