
According to Deadline, The Bride! is expected to make between $8 and $10 million domestically over its first three days in theaters. This is much lower than the predicted $40 million opening weekend for the new film Hoppers, which is currently projected to be the weekend’s top movie. Pixar’s latest animated film has already claimed the No. 1 spot.
With Hoppers taking the top spot, The Bride! has ended Warner Bros.’ impressive streak of successful movie launches. Warner Bros. recently released nine films in a row that each opened with over $40 million domestically – a feat no other studio has ever achieved.
They actually broke the record after six consecutive films each earned over $40 million, and continued to increase that success with every new movie released.
