The Boys Season 5: All 7 Villains Confirmed to Appear

Season 5 of The Boys will be the final season of the popular Amazon Prime Video series. Though fans are eager for a first look, the show promises a spectacular and action-packed conclusion after nearly ten years of intense, violent storytelling. Expect the show’s villains to be as ruthless as ever, stopping at nothing to achieve their goals.

Season 5 of The Boys will feature at least seven major villains. The recent second season of Gen V brought back several heroes from The Boys universe, building anticipation for the next chapter. While we don’t have a specific release date for The Boys‘ return in 2026, fans can expect a lot of intense action involving both heroes and villains.

Confirmed Villains in The Boys Season 5

Homelander

From the very beginning of The Boys, Antony Starr powerfully portrayed Homelander, the show’s central “superhero.” Like Superman, Homelander possesses incredible abilities – he can fly, has immense strength, and emits heat vision. However, his warped moral compass and deeply disturbed personality quickly established him as one of the series’ most compelling villains.

After his true, villainous nature was revealed at the end of Season 4, the character fully embraced the dark side, effectively seizing control of the U.S. government under martial law. In Season 5, he’s predicted to relentlessly pursue the Boys and anyone who opposes him, stopping at nothing to maintain the power of Supes and rule harshly.

Black Noir II

Nathan Mitchell has played Black Noir in the show The Boys since its first season. While he continues in the role, he’s now portraying a second version of the character after the original Black Noir was killed by Homelander in Season 3. Black Noir is famously the quietest member of The Seven, and is incredibly skilled in martial arts. He also possesses superhuman abilities like immense strength and speed, enhanced senses, and the power to heal quickly.

During Season 4, The Deep mentors the new Black Noir, who has rejoined The Seven while being monitored by Homelander. However, because he failed to eliminate The Boys and is essentially living in the shadow of someone Homelander murdered, he’s anxious and closely follows Homelander’s direction as the show moves into Season 5.

Sister Sage

Susan Heyward plays Sister Sage in Season 4 of The Boys. Sister Sage is incredibly intelligent – considered the smartest person in the world – and has a powerful healing ability. She can quickly recover from injuries, and even temporarily lower her own intelligence by performing a self-lobotomy to help others, before fully recovering her mental capacity.

In Season 4, Homelander brings Sage onto The Seven and she quickly becomes the key strategist behind his scheme to gain control of the government with public backing. Despite Homelander’s betrayal, she remains loyal and finishes the first part of her plan, with the next phase set to be revealed in Season 5.

Firecracker

In Season 4 of The Boys, Valorie Curry joined the cast as Firecracker, a new villain who takes the place of the departing Starlight. Firecracker possesses incredible strength and hearing, and can create sparks and small explosions with a snap of her fingers. However, her true power lies in her far-right talk show, The Truth Bomb, where she shares hateful opinions with a large audience.

After joining The Seven, she immediately began a close relationship with Homelander (details of a particularly disturbing instance can be found here). She rapidly gained power and became one of Homelander’s most devoted followers, relentlessly working to destroy The Boys.

The Deep

Chace Crawford has been playing the character of The Deep on the show The Boys since its first season. The Deep is a member of The Seven, and is a complex character often at the center of controversy. Similar to Aquaman from DC Comics, The Deep can breathe underwater thanks to gills and is a very strong swimmer. He also has superhuman strength and can withstand a lot of damage, plus he can communicate with and control creatures in the sea using his mind.

Okay, let’s talk about The Deep. Season 4 really digs into his… complicated loyalty to Homelander. He’s doing Homelander’s dirty work – we’re talking assassinations and serious cover-ups to protect The Seven. And honestly, it’s painful to watch. You see glimpses of regret, moments where he clearly questions what he’s doing, but ultimately, he just keeps falling in line. It’s this blind obedience that’s really disturbing, and the show makes it clear this pattern will continue right into Season 5. He’s trapped, and it’s a really unsettling dynamic to watch unfold.

Ashley Barrett

I’ve been watching Colby Minifie’s character, Ashley Barrett, on The Boys, and it’s been a wild ride! She started as a talent manager, but quickly climbed the ladder to become CEO of Vought International. It was her job to make The Seven look good to the public, but Homelander just constantly undermined her and was awful to her. It really took a toll; she developed a serious anxiety disorder and started compulsively pulling her hair out. It’s heartbreaking to watch!

In the season finale, Ashley uses an emergency dose of Compound V as she begins losing her hair and changing in some way. Although we don’t yet know what her new abilities are, she’s likely to become a key villain, helping Vought fight against the Boys.

Soldier Boy

Jensen Ackles is returning as Soldier Boy in Season 5 of The Boys, after not appearing in Season 4. Soldier Boy is one of Vought’s earliest superheroes and possesses incredible strength and resilience. He can also unleash a powerful radioactive blast from his chest that can destroy structures and completely eliminate another Supe’s abilities.

The last scene of Season 4 revealed Soldier Boy held captive in a hidden CIA facility, frozen after his battle with Homelander. Season 5 will likely see his return, and it promises major conflict, as he’s actually Homelander’s father. Their reunion is expected to be explosive.

After a successful run since its 2019 debut on Amazon Prime Video, the popular series The Boys is concluding with its fifth and final season. The show, starring Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty, and Antony Starr, follows a group of heroes who fight against the powerful and often villainous corporation, Vought International, and its celebrity-superhero team. Season 5 of The Boys is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video in 2026.
