‘The Boys’ Prequel ‘Vought Rising’ Casts ‘Blue Bloods’ Alum Will Hochman (EXCLUSIVE)

Exclusive news: The cast of ‘Vought Rising,’ the forthcoming prequel to ‘The Boys’ on Amazon, now includes Will Hochman, as we at EbMaster have discovered.

Hochman has been added to the cast, joining previously announced stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash in the series. This series was given the green light at Amazon Prime Video back in July 2024. Additionally, it’s speculated that Mason Dye, known for his role as Bombsight in “The Boys” Season 5, might also make an appearance in “Vought Rising.” (EbMaster’s report)

Exact details on Hochman’s character are being kept under wraps.

The series titled ‘Vought Rising’ is known as a complex murder-mystery set in the 1950s, with Jared Padalecki reprising his role as Soldier Boy and Erin Moriarty returning as Stormfront, also known as Clara Vought. The production for this show is anticipated to start later in the year.

More recently, Hochman has been featured in five seasons of the popular CBS police drama “Blue Bloods,” playing the character Joe Hill. Additionally, he had a recurring part with Billy Crystal and Judith Light on the Apple TV+ series “Before.” Beyond television, Hochman’s film appearances include “The Greatest Beer Run Ever,” “Let Him Go,” and “Critical Thinking.” Upcoming projects for Hochman involve acting alongside Deborah Ann Woll and Jeffrey Donovan in “The Cycle” for IFC and Tea Shop Films.

He is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.

Paul Grellong, executive producer on ‘The Boys’, is set to executive produce and serve as showrunner for the upcoming series ‘Vought Rising’. The creative mind behind ‘The Boys’, Eric Kripke, will also executive produce through Kripke Enterprises. Other executive producers include Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver from Point Grey Pictures, Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty from Original Film, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr. The production companies involved are Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
