The Boys Is Getting A “Chaotic” Video Game Aiming For Same Humor And Brutality Of The Show

After building anticipation with a hint from the show’s creator, Eric Kripke, Sony Pictures Virtual Reality and Arvore have revealed a new video game based on ‘The Boys.’ Titled ‘The Boys: Trigger Warning,’ the game is scheduled for release in 2026 on Meta Quest and PlayStation VR 2.

You can now preorder the game on the Meta Quest store for a special price of $24. It’s not available for preorder on PSVR 2 just yet, but you can add it to your wishlist on the PlayStation Store.

Trigger Warning is a virtual reality game where you play as a new character who stumbles upon a disturbing secret about Vought, turning what should be a normal family trip into a violent event.

In this game, you play as a superhero – known as a ‘Supe’ in the world of The Boys – and team up with The Boys to take down Vought in a wildly unpredictable and chaotic quest for revenge.

The new VR game combines sneaking, fighting, and the series’ trademark dark comedy, all within a fresh story set in the familiar world fans enjoy.

The team at Arvore collaborated with the show’s creators and actors to recreate the original series’ distinctive blend of intensity, comedy, and raw power.

Previously, Kripke mentioned they’d considered a console game for The Boys on Xbox and PlayStation, but didn’t have firm plans. He also hinted at other video game possibilities, which now seems to be referring to the game Trigger Warning.

While characters from The Boys have shown up in games like Call of Duty and Mortal Kombat, there hasn’t been a standalone game for consoles based on the series itself.

The popular TV series The Boys, which started as a comic book, is available on Prime Video and has expanded into multiple spin-offs. These include Gen V, and a new series set in Mexico, currently in development. Plus, a prequel called Vought Rising, set in the 1950s, is also planned.

The fifth and final season of the hit show The Boys will premiere on Prime Video in April 2026. You can watch the latest trailer right here.
