‘The Boys’ Final Season Casts Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins in ‘Supernatural’ Reunion With Jensen Ackles

In the fifth and last season of “The Boys,” Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are appearing as special guests, reconnecting on set with their former “Supernatural” castmate, Jensen Ackles.

Details on their roles are being kept under wraps.

Eric Kripke, the creator of “The Boys”, has frequently expressed a wish to feature Jensen Ackles (Padalecki) in his satirical superhero drama. Last year, he told EbMaster, “I feel like I need to complete my ‘Supernatural’ Pokémon collection, and I have my one big, very big one left to catch.” He later revealed that he was discussing a role for Ackles during the final season with EbMaster, stating, “I love him, and you try to work with people you care for.

As a movie enthusiast, I must highlight the impressive casting choices in “The Boys”. Beyond Ackles’ captivating portrayal of Soldier Boy, this series has also welcomed familiar faces from the “Supernatural” universe. Jim Beaver brings Robert Singer to life, Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivers an engaging performance as Joe Kessler, and Rob Benedict adds a unique touch as Splinter.

Jared Padalecki appeared alongside Jensen Ackles for 15 seasons on the CW sci-fi series that initially aired on The WB in 2005, concluding with its final episode in 2020. Misha Collins, too, was part of the “Supernatural” cast for 12 seasons, portraying Castiel and eight additional characters.
