The Boys Breaks Streaming Records, Beats House Of The Dragon

As a die-hard fan who’s been following The Boys since its debut, let me tell you, this fourth season has been a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions! It’s absolutely thrilling to see my favorite anti-hero series take the top spot on Prime Video’s streaming list for the week. With over 1.3 billion minutes streamed, it’s clear that The Boys is not just a show, but a global phenomenon!

In simple terms, during the week of July 15-21, Amazon Prime Video’s superhero series The Boys topped Nielsen’s weekly streaming chart as it aired its season 4 finale on July 18.

Last week, The Boys amassed a total of 1.3 billion minutes watched across all 32 episodes they made accessible. House of the Dragon came in second place, with a whopping 1.1 billion minutes streamed from its 16 available episodes. Cobra Kai, Love Is Blind, and Bluey followed closely behind, each accumulating over 1 billion minutes watched that week.

According to TV Line, the popular series “The Boys” has surpassed one billion minutes of streaming time on Amazon Prime Video for the eighth time since its premiere, making it the most-watched Prime Video release in this regard. Additionally, this is the 20th instance that “The Boys” has appeared in the Nielsen overall top 10 chart, which is a record for a show on Prime TV.

As a longtime fan of gritty anti-hero shows, I am thrilled to hear that “The Boys” is coming back for one more season. Having followed the series since its inception, I can confidently say that the epic showdown between Homelander and Billy Butcher will be nothing short of spectacular. While it’s bittersweet to see the end of “The Boys,” I’m excited to learn that a spinoff series called Gen V is returning for a second season, which I’m eager to dive into. Additionally, the announcement of a Nazi-era prequel titled Vought Rising has me intrigued and eagerly awaiting its release. As someone who appreciates well-written and engaging storylines, I can hardly wait to see where these new seasons take us.

Prime Video’s next big release is The Rings of Power Season 2, which debuts August 29.
