‘The Bodyguard’ Remake From ‘Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour’ Director Sam Wrench Set at Warner Bros.

Warner Bros. is considering re-making “The Bodyguard,” with Sam Wrench set to take the helm as director. Wrench is known for directing the hugely successful concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.” Jonathan Abrams, who recently made his mark as a screenwriter with Clint Eastwood’s courtroom drama “Juror #2,” has been selected to write the new script. At this point, no actors have been chosen for the roles.

The news was shared by Michael De Luca and Pam Abdy, heads of the Warner Bros. Pictures Group, during their interview with Deadline.
