The Big Mouth Team Is Now Going to Focus on Horn-y Adults

After the final episode of “Big Mouth,” Nick Kroll’s animation company (Brutus Pink) along with Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett is planning a new animated project. Exclusively revealed by Vulture, this upcoming series will be titled “Mating Season” and is a romantic comedy featuring animals. The show is expected to debut on the streaming platform in 2026. Brutus Pink shared a statement expressing their excitement about moving forward with stories about grown-ups (animals) who are also cartoons after eight seasons of exploring growing up tales.

In his statement, John Derderian, Netflix’s vice-president of animation series, expressed that “Big Mouth” pioneered the realm of adult cartoons by combining emotion, comedy, and utter pandemonium. He explained how they transformed the discomfort of adolescence into a relatable and profoundly human experience for viewers. Furthermore, he shared his delight in collaborating with Nick Kroll and the exceptionally creative team at Brutus Pink throughout the eight seasons of this groundbreaking series, describing their partnership as legendary.

Before the last episode of “Big Mouth” airs, the team behind the show, including Kroll, are embarking on a tour called the “The Big Mouth Swallows America Farewell Tour”. This tour, taking place from May 5th to May 19th, will offer fans a sneak peek at new episodes and some exclusive merchandise. Brutus Pink commented, “There’s no better way to celebrate a worldwide sensation like ‘Big Mouth’ than by road-tripping in a yellow van from Dallas to Tampa to Chicago and beyond.” He added, “It’s thrilling to let audiences across the country catch a glimpse of the final season of ‘Big Mouth’ before it reaches the rest of the world.” The eighth season will debut on May 23rd, leaving everyone involved with one more month of the horniest season (spring) to prepare.
