As a seasoned Honkai: Star Rail player with years of gaming under my belt, I must say that the teams presented here cater to various playstyles and accessibility levels.
As I eagerly await the arrival of the 3.0 update for Honkai: Star Rail, it’s clear that gamers like me need to gear up, not just for pulling new characters, but also for crafting effective teams to tackle the challenging content on the horizon. The Remembrance path is poised to stir things up in the game’s meta, but we’ve got a little time before 3.0 to get a few strong teams ready and waiting.
The team you make will depend on what you have available, but the 2.7 banners give us at least one synergy worth investing in.
Premium Team: Jing Yuan And Sunday
Character | Role |
---|---|
Jing Yuan | Main-DPS |
Sunday | Main Support |
Robin | Additional Support |
Aventurine | Sustain |
In the launch of Sunday, General Jing Yuan has stepped into a new phase of supremacy, being one of the select few characters prior to version 3.0 who possesses a summon as part of his abilities. Sunday provides both characters and their summons with a full action ahead, enabling the Lightning Lord to act instantaneously following Jing Yuan, significantly faster than his relatively slow speed of 90 would suggest.
Making this one alteration significantly boosts Jing Yuan’s ability to deal damage and maintains a high level of reliability, regardless if Sunday’s Skill’s 50% extra damage bonus on each summon is taken into account or not.
As a devoted admirer of Jing Yuan, the Erudite Pathstrider with a knack for Area of Effect (AoE) destruction, I’ve noticed an impressive leap in his performance! Not only can he dish out commendable single-target damage, but his multi-target assault simply soars to new heights, setting the bar skyward.
As a gamer, I’d say: “If I bring Robin and Aventurine into my Jing Yuan/Sunday team, it’ll ramp up the action with Robin’s Ultimate and extra boosts from her Skill. Huo Huo is another solid pick for sustained Energy across the team. In a pinch, Tingyun could replace Robin to maximize Jing Yuan’s Ultimate frequency. Gallagher can hold his own when no other options are available.
Premium Exploration And Follow-Up Team: Feixiao And Her Meta Crew
Character | Role |
---|---|
Feixiao | Main DPS |
Topaz | Sub-DPS |
Robin | Support |
Aventurine | Sustain |
Finding a team that excels at everything more than Meta Feixiao squad can be quite challenging. Although it may not boast the sheer damage output of certain other team configurations, it stands out for its consistency, ease of construction, and adaptability across all types of game content we’ve encountered thus far.
Additionally, if swift movement is a priority for you, Feixiao’s method allows you to traverse maps at roughly twice the normal pace. Furthermore, the gust of wind she generates serves not only to shatter destructible items in the environment but also to gather smaller enemies together, allowing you to clear them all simultaneously.
If needed, you could replace Topaz with Imaginary March 7th, Gallagher or Lingsha with Aventurine, and either Sparkle or Bronya with Robin in the team composition.
In this team setup, your main goal is consistently setting up as many subsequent attacks to activate Feixiao’s Ultimate. Both Topaz and Imaginary March 7th play crucial roles in achieving this objective. The roles of the other team members can be adaptable.
Returning Player Premium Team: Imbibitor Lunae/Acheron Plus Tingyun/Sparkle
Character | Role |
---|---|
Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae or Acheron | Main DPS |
Tingyun for IB, Sparkle for Both | Support |
Pela, Silver Wolf, or Bronya | Buffer/Debuffer |
Huo Huo, Fu Xuan, or Gallagher | Sustain |
If you’ve recently stepped away from Honkai: Star Rail, you might find that some newer characters may be unavailable to you, but you could still possess high-tier options from various updates in the past. Among these strong contenders are Imbibitor Lunae and Acheron, who have only had one rerun each since their debut.
Compared to Acheron, Dan Heng – Imbibitor Lunae is significantly improved when you add Sunday. This enhancement makes him more powerful than before, despite Acheron’s superior strength. Combining him with Sparkle resolves almost all of his Skill Point issues and provides extra damage. Moreover, Tingyun assists IB Dan Heng by boosting his Energy and damage.
Sparkle serves a similar role to Acheron, acting as an efficient substitute for a second Nihility unit. This is because her buffs offer nearly the same boost in damage that Acheron would experience with another Nihility character present.
As a seasoned gamer, I’ve got to admit, Pela is an incredible debuffing machine, boasting a robust Skill Point economy. And let me tell you, Silver Wolf? That bad boy can stack the debuffs like nobody’s business, effectively offering an infinite supply of them!
As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but admit that my character, Bronya, remains insatiably hungry for those precious Skill Points. Yet, despite the passage of nearly three years, her boosts continue to remain among the most potent in the game.
In terms of sustainability, your choices haven’t seen significant shifts on the rankings. Huo Huo and Fu Xuan continue to deliver ample healing and damage reduction capabilities. Moreover, Gallagher is nearly indispensable, making him a go-to choice for any team, given that you have access to him.
Free To Play Friendly Team
Character | Role |
---|---|
Moze | Main DPS |
Imaginary March 7th | Sub-DPS |
Tingyun | Support |
Gallagher | Sustain |
This team configuration includes some gacha characters, but all members here are high-tier four-star characters, making them more obtainable than most other characters thus far. Specifically, Tingyun and Gallagher are the harder to acquire among the quartet, as they aren’t available through in-game events, unlike Moze and March 7th who can be obtained through such events.
Moses can serve as a decent single-target follow-up damage dealer, and the Imaginary March 7th continues to be a reliable sub-DPS in teams focusing on follow-up attacks.
Using Tingyun’s damage enhancement and energy restoration capabilities will ensure that Moze maintains his Ultimate skill, while also boosting his Prey stacks. Since Gallagher is the top non-5-star healer in the game, it makes perfect sense to include him in your team if he’s accessible.
If Gallagher isn’t available, Lynx is a totally complimentary unit you’ll acquire as you advance in the game, functioning as a suitable replacement until you secure the drink-smith.
