The Best Endgame Monsties In Monster Hunter Stories 3

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection features a huge variety of monsters. You’ll encounter creatures from recent games as well as classic favorites, making for a monster-filled adventure!

Although any monster can be a helpful teammate, you’ll discover much stronger and more impressive Monsties as you progress further into the game. It just wouldn’t make sense to compare a Velocidrome to a Rathalos!

Hellblade Glavenus

You’ll initially encounter Glavenus in the Tarkuan region, wandering around Rococo Rocks. However, the Hellblade variant is particularly impressive. While it’s not as defensively strong as the original, it’s much more powerful.

Finding them is the tricky part. You have to create a specific habitat for a Glavenus, including other monsters with claws or similar features. However, the effort is well worth it – they offer significant rewards.

Stygian Zinogre

Zinogre is an incredibly powerful monster, charging through any landscape with sheer force. But if you were to somehow transform it into a dragon, you’d get the even more formidable Stygian Zinogre.

These creatures still have their powerful Thunder Skills, but now their standard attacks also include the Dragon element, and they’re incredibly strong overall. You can even restore the Thunder element to them by raising them in a specific environment.

Grimclaw Tigrex

Tigrex is a frightening monster in every Monster Hunter game, whether it’s a main series title or a spin-off. It’s incredibly powerful and quick, and often defeats hunters with just one strong attack. The Grimclaw Tigrex is particularly dangerous.

This monster thrives when raised alongside four other monsters of the Power type, and its stats reflect that environment. It boasts the game’s highest attack power, but is extremely fragile, making it vulnerable to being defeated in a single hit regardless of the attack.

Dreadking Rathalos

You’ve journeyed with Ratha throughout the entire game, and they’ll always remain a part of your team. That’s why adding another Rathalos – Dreadking Rathalos – might seem strange, but trust us, they’re amazing!

Dreadking Rathalos not only learns moves that regular Ratha can’t, but it also has slightly different weaknesses and strengths. If you wished Ratha could cause Blastblight, then Dreadking Rathalos is what you’ve been looking for.

Thunderlord Zinogre

Here’s another Zinogre! Even though it’s an Endangered species, Zinogre is unique in having developed multiple variations, and each of those variations is distinct and powerful.

Zinogre is a truly exceptional monster. Not only does it have extremely high Attack power, but its other stats are also very strong, with its Defense being its only real weakness. It also boasts a unique set of powerful Skills that you won’t find on any other creature.

Arkveld

Arkveld is a recently introduced monster in the Monster Hunter Wilds game. It has a special ability to absorb energy, and as you attack it, a gauge called the Wyvernsoul Gauge will fill up.

When you use Arkveld as a Monstie, it doesn’t inherit any weaknesses or resistances from its original form – except for its resistances, which do transfer over. Arkveld is resistant to all elements except Normal, and it’s weak to Dragon-type attacks. Combined with its already strong Defense, this makes it a powerful Monstie that can both deal a lot of damage and withstand a lot of punishment.

Namielle

Namielle is a rare Elder Dragon you can hatch and add to your team. Despite being a Water-type Dragon, it also has a variety of powerful Thunder attacks.

Plus, these monsters have amazing Defense – it’s among the best for a creature with this much health. Although their HP and Speed aren’t as high as some of the strongest endgame Monsties, they compensate with impressively high stats across the board.

Velkhana

Velkhana, first introduced in the Iceborne expansion and featured in several games since, is a powerful ice monster that covers itself in a layer of ice for defense and to enhance its abilities.

Defeating Velkhana lets you obtain its egg, which hatches into one of the most powerful Monsties in the game. Beyond having incredibly strong Skills, Velkhana boasts exceptionally high stats that are hard to match.

Malzeno

Malzeno, the star monster of the Sunbreak expansion, is a powerful mix of dragons and vampires. In Monster Hunter Stories 3, it shows just how devastating that combination can be.

Considering how quickly you can obtain Malzeno, its stats are incredibly high. It excels in almost every area, but its Speed is particularly impressive. It’s able to avoid most attacks, and its solid Defense means it can take a lot of damage – it’s definitely not fragile.
