The Beginning After The End anime officially coming to Crunchyroll in 2025

As a seasoned gamer and avid anime fan with years of experience under my belt, I can confidently say that the announcement of The Beginning After The End anime adaptation has sent shockwaves through the community. Having immersed myself in the world of TBATE for countless hours on the Tapas platform, I’ve grown attached to the story and its characters.

2025 marks the year when Crunchyroll plans to air The Beginning After The End anime, following its grand unveiling at New York Comic-Con 2024.

In the ongoing sixth season of “The Beginning After The End,” creator TurtleMe has announced that an animated adaptation is on its way. This highly anticipated anime production, handled by Slow Curve and studio A-Cat, will be a pioneering step as it’s the first American webnovel and webcomic to be developed into an animated series.

Globally, excluding some regions in Asia, Crunchyroll is taking care of distribution in partnership with Tapas, a platform for web novels. The series “The Beginning After The End” will debut in the year 2025.

Initially, when I began crafting TBATE as a web story, I hadn’t foreseen that it would eventually progress to where it is now, shares TurtleMe, who is not only the writer but also an executive producer of the anime adaptation, in a recent statement.

Reaching this significant achievement would not have been feasible without the remarkable backing of each supporter throughout our journey. I’m eagerly looking forward to sharing the grand unveiling next year with everyone, be it seasoned readers or fresh viewers.

Mike Zhu, who leads Comic and Film & TV at Tapas, mentions: “This is an exceptional chance for us to present the grand tale of TBATE to fans globally in a fresh format. This partnership signifies a significant achievement for us and American webcomics, and we’re thrilled to see the enthusiasm it generates among our audience and beyond.

The increasing acclaim and audience interest in The Beginning After The End has been significant, and there’s been a rising clamor for a screen adaptation during the past few story arcs. Keitaro Motonaga is at the helm as director, while Masami Sueoka is responsible for character designs.

The story begins with King Grey reborn as ordinary Arthur, discovering that his new life is entwined in a larger enigma. Since its launch in January 2017, this tale has gained prominence on the Tapas platform.
