The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales – How to find all the chests the Water Ruins in the Age of Reconstruction

While playing The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, you’ll occasionally encounter puzzles you can’t immediately solve. Usually, it’s obvious you need to find an item – like a weapon – or unlock a new ability for Faie before you can progress.

There’s one dungeon where the usual rules don’t apply. After you return to Huther with Faie – fairly early in the game – you can explore the Water Ruins during the Age of Reconstruction. This is where you’ll learn the Dive ability and find some great treasure chests. Even after defeating the boss and opening a major chest, your map will still show three chests remaining, along with areas you haven’t discovered yet.

How do you get these chests? What Faie ability or weapon are you missing?

You’re not overlooking anything! Water Ruins (Age of Reconstruction) is unique because it’s the only dungeon where story progress actually blocks access to certain areas – specifically, the last three chests. You won’t be able to get those chests until you reach the Age of Budding, so don’t worry about them just yet if you’re still in the Age of Reconstruction.

After completing the events at Dragonpillar (during the Age of Budding), parts of the Water Ruins (Age of Reconstruction) will crumble, opening up the entire dungeon for exploration. You’ll also find the Leytstaff sword there, which is essential for unlocking the True Ending in The Adventures of Elliot. This sword also lets you break down special barrier doors you might have encountered. The game doesn’t directly tell you to revisit this area, but you might pick up hints from conversations with people in Littlehope Village.
