One of the stars of How I Met Your Mother, Alyson Hannigan, has an idea for another TV show from this world, which could be called a remake of sorts, as the actress would like to tell the same story as in the original production, but from a different perspective, and with some changes. In order for the former actors to return, she would like to age the characters. And the story this time would be told not by the older Ted, but by Marshall played by Jason Segel. The artist talked about it in an interview with People.
“Actually, that’s not quite accurate. To clarify, we were much older at the time…” After straightening things out, we could simply replay the event for better understanding.
It’s intriguing to consider Hannigan’s point that “each person narrates their own unique version of events.” Fans might find it fascinating to hear Marshall’s account, as they share this curiosity. However, it’s not likely that Marshall’s recollections would differ drastically from Ted’s, given their shared experiences.
