Thai Hit Film ‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies’ Picked up by Netflix – Global Bulletin

GRANDMA GOING WIDE

As a seasoned film enthusiast with a global perspective, I must say that the news of “How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies” going wide on Netflix is indeed exciting! Having traversed the cinematic landscapes of various cultures and regions, it’s always refreshing to encounter films like this one, which not only showcase local talent but also resonate universally.

Streaming giant Netflix has acquired the rights to the popular Thai movie titled “Millions Before Grandma Dies.” The film will debut in Southeast Asia on September 12, with additional regions gaining access to it later in 2022.

“The movie titled ‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies‘, penned by Thodsapon Thiptinnakorn (inspired by personal experiences) and directed by Pat Boonnitipat (known for ‘Bad Genius’), has been a box office sensation since its April release. It currently holds the title of highest-grossing Thai film in several countries such as Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Vietnam.”

Motivated by the prospect of a multimillion-dollar inheritance, M (Billkin Assaratanakul) temporarily shelved his ambitions as an aspiring game caster to nurse his terminally ill grandmother, Usha Seamkhum. However, winning her approval was no simple task, as she showed herself to be challenging and extremely hard to satisfy. To add to the complexity, M wasn’t the only contender for the fortune. He found himself in a race against time, going to extraordinary lengths to win Grandma’s affection before it was too late.

As a film enthusiast with years of experience under my belt, I must say that “The Film” is set to make waves in the industry due to its impressive cast. Being Boonnitipat’s debut as a feature film director, his fresh perspective and creativity will undoubtedly bring something unique to the table. Furthermore, the fact that Billkin and Usha are making their first leading roles in a movie adds an element of excitement and anticipation for the audience.
