They’re shifting their HQ from the Bluegrass State (Kentucky) and folks can’t help but wonder if it’s time for a rebrand to reflect this change. Could we be seeing a new name that mirrors its fresh base of operations? Only time will tell!

In the United States, KFC ranks among the largest and most well-known fast food restaurant chains, alongside McDonald’s. Although its popularity spans the nation, it holds a special place in the hearts of people residing in Kentucky, the city where it originated.

Colonel Harland Sanders established Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and began selling fried chicken at service stations and motels along highways in Nicholasville and Corbin, Kentucky, during the 1930s. The first KFC restaurant opened in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1952, marking the beginning of the fast-food chain’s expansion across the globe.
