Ted Lasso Season 4 finally confirmed and there’s a surprise twist

Apple TV has officially announced that Ted Lasso will return for its fourth season, with Ted taking on the role of coach for a brand-new team, as per Jason Sudeikis.

Ted Lasso, initially, was one of Apple TV’s early triumphs, featuring an optimistic American coach brought in to lead a British football team. Initially, this move was orchestrated covertly by the club’s owner as part of her plan to retaliate against her former spouse. However, over time, he manages to revitalize AFC Richmond and, in the process, positively influences everyone connected with the team.

In the year 2023, the third season was broadcast, wrapping up Ted’s narrative in a fitting manner. Post this, he made his way back to the United States, whereas Roy Kent took on the role of Richmond’s manager, with Nate and Beard serving as his assistant coaches.

After much discussion and an initial rumor suggesting its creation, it’s confirmed that Season 4 is being produced.

In the world we inhabit, where numerous elements often encourage caution over spontaneity, characters from AFC Richmond in Season 4 learn to act first and think later, finding out that wherever they end up, it’s precisely the place they were destined for, according to Sudeikis’ statement.

On the New Heights podcast, the celebrity also verified that they were in the process of creating a fourth season. “That’s the definitive update, I’m coaching a women’s squad,” he stated.

When queried about whether Ted will go back to the UK, he chuckled and said, “I’m afraid there are just too many unknowns for me.

Recall that in the Season 3 finale, Keeley proposed the idea of an AFC Richmond women’s team to Rebecca.

The specific roles of additional cast members remain unconfirmed, but it’s expected that Brett Goldstein (as Roy Kent), Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca), Jeremy Swift (Leslie), Nick Mohammed (Nate), Juno Temple (Keeley), and other familiar Richmond players will return for their parts.

It’s unlikely that Jamie will play a significant role anymore, as there are scheduling clashes with Phil Dunster’s other obligations. However, he might make a brief appearance.
