Team Falcons Benches 3 Players To Rebuild CS2 Roster

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen teams rise and fall, win and lose, but Team Falcons‘ current predicament is truly heart-wrenching. The organization, known for its stellar lineup on paper, has unfortunately been struggling, with a dismal 33.3% win rate in the past three months.

Despite boasting a formidable roster on paper, the Counter-Strike 2 team from Team Falcons of Saudi Arabia has struggled significantly recently, managing just a 33.3% win rate over the past three months. This poor performance has resulted in them slipping to 26th place in HLTV’s global rankings.

It had been anticipated that lineup adjustments were imminent, as their coach Danny “zonic” Sørensen mentioned in a post-match interview at the BLAST Fall Final 2024 that changes were necessary. In order to improve their chances of making it to the Perfect World Shanghai Major, Team Falcons secured a loan for CS and AWPer extraordinaire Oleksandr “s1mple” Kostyljev, who is widely regarded as the greatest player in CS:GO.

The Falcons squad experienced an underwhelming performance during the Shanghai Major European RMR A tournament, ultimately falling short of qualification. With their dreams for the Major Championship now shattered, the organization subsequently decided against extending s1mple’s loan and made plans to move three additional players onto the bench.

The Team Falcons management has decided to sit out players Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer, Pavle “Maden” Bošković, and Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen temporarily. It seems that the team is working towards a new lineup with Danish CS:GO star Emil “Magisk” Reif at its core.

Skipping the Shanghai Major has been a profoundly disheartening and sad blow for us. Currently, we are focusing on the necessary work and resources to reconstruct our team for the year 2025.

There are strong whispers suggesting that Nikola “NiKo” Kovač might join Team Falcons as part of their rebuilding strategy in 2025. We should expect an official announcement following the Perfect World Shanghai Major.
