No matter how odd or illogical some events may seem (like the collaboration between Young Sheldon and Minecraft), there’s usually a fantastic aspect that brings immense pleasure. A perfect example of this is Tanner Smith from Love on the Spectrum, whose radiant smile can be found in any encyclopedia entry about joy. Singer Kelly Clarkson, who has a knack for stirring emotions with her music or her empathy, arranged a special meeting between Tanner and his idol, Jack Black, as part of Minecraft Movie promotion and the new season premiere of Love on the Spectrum. It’s possible that Black would have appeared on the show regardless of having a movie to promote, but the opportunity to meet Tanner was an added bonus for him – essentially killing two birds with one stone.

Behind the stage, Black unexpectedly appeared before Tanner, causing Tanner to rush towards him with open arms and exclaim, “Jack! It’s you!” Tanner, as gracious as ever, complimented Black on his appearance and handsomeness, prompting tears from anyone watching. The two quickly discussed plans to meet up, with Black suggesting they work out together by lifting weights. In an attempt to discreetly ask for Black’s phone number, Tanner covered his mouth and whispered, “I want to get your number so we can exercise together.” Fortunately, the microphones picked up that endearing comment. If Clarkson wants a heartwarming moment for her last talk show, this could be it. However, if she invites Connor from Love on the Spectrum, we’re back in business again.
