Tamagotchi Plaza Is Getting Switch 2 Exclusive Content

As a gaming enthusiast, I can’t help but get excited about the imminent arrival of Tamagotchi Plaza on Nintendo’s brand new Switch 2! Bandai Namco has just announced that this popular virtual pet game is set to grace our screens towards the end of this month. For those who decide to buy the exclusive Switch 2 Edition or opt for an upgrade, there’s a treat in store: access to additional content beyond the regular Switch version, making it a must-have for any Tamagotchi fan!

Bandai Namco has given a sneak peek at exclusive content for Switch 2, featuring three new shops that bump up the game’s total to fifteen. One of these new additions is a sushi bar where players can employ the mouse-like controls of the Joy-Con 2 to serve their customers. Similar functionality is available at the Shuriken Shop, showcasing your throwing star abilities. Interestingly, these features can be merged in the Sushi Shuriken Shop, as its name suggests.

As a gamer, I find myself stepping into the vibrant world of Tamahiko Town, where I get to be the mastermind behind numerous shops. The Great Gotchi King has just brought Tamagotchi Fest to our town, and it’s my job to help Prince Tamahiko prepare for this grand event by setting up tea shops, as well as other establishments that will boost our city’s prestige. To add a fun twist, some of these shops even offer co-op minigames!

For those who own a Tamagotchi Plaza Switch and have an updated version (Switch 2), they won’t require a new game purchase. Instead, they can invest in the Tamagotchi Plaza Nintendo Switch 2 Upgrade Pack to unlock the freshly released exclusive content. The cost of this upgrade has not been disclosed at this time.

The Tamagotchi Plaza Nintendo Switch 2 Version will hit stores simultaneously with the regular Switch version on June 27. Interestingly, both versions can be used in conjunction with the Tamagotchi Uni as well.
