Talents Guide and best combos in Yaoling Mythical Journey

As a seasoned player of Yaoling Mythical Journey, I have had the pleasure of exploring the intricacies of various character builds and abilities. Each one has brought its unique charm and challenge to the game, but today I’d like to share my thoughts on a particular set of talents that have left an indelible mark on my gaming experience.

In the role-playing game Yaoling Mythical Journey, gathering creatures is a significant aspect. However, not every creature of the same breed holds the same value for an optimal adventure team. To build an effective party, you must carefully select and combine your yaolings’ Talents. Let’s explore how to do it effectively.

What are the best talent combos in Yaoling Mythical Journey?

Talents Guide and best combos in Yaoling Mythical Journey

In the absence of a straightforward response regarding optimal talent combinations in Yaoling Mythical Journey, I’d suggest focusing on these fundamental guidelines instead:

  1. What is your party lacking and can you provide it through Talents?
  2. What will help balance the individual yaoling to make them the best they can be?

As a devoted follower of the Yaoling realm, I’d like to share an essential piece of information: Each Yaoling is limited to a maximum of four talents. If by chance you’ve reached this capacity with existing talents, however they may be, it’s necessary to forfeit one prior to acquiring another.

Types of Talent in Yaoling Mythical Journey

In Yaoling, there exist various kinds of talents, distinctively marked for simple identification. It’s worth mentioning that the Spirit Gems carry the same color scheme as these talents.

  • Dark grey: These are negative Talents (they can be removed in the usual way).
  • Blue: Standard Talents.
  • Purple: Rare Talents.
  • Yellow: Legendary Talents.
  • Pink:  SE Talents.

You can express that idea as follows: Finding Pink SE talents on non-elite yaolings, which are usually identified by their sparkly appearance, is quite rare. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to seize the opportunity and capture them when you come across such yaolings.

What are Spirit Gems and how to get them in Yaoling Mythical Journey

Instead of “Spirit Gems are used to add new talents to your yaolings. They have their own section in your backpack and are color-coded similarly to Talents (as mentioned earlier). Each Spirit Gem grants the ability to bestow one talent upon a single yaoling. However, Amber Teardrops function differently and serve to eliminate unwanted Talents instead.”

As a devoted player, I’d share that Spirit Gems are typically discovered in Chests or given as mission rewards. If you happen to have excess Spirit Gems, you may sell them to any vendor. Additionally, Chu-Chu, who resides in the village once the Home of the Yaolings mission is completed, offers a rotating assortment for purchase. You’ll find her comfortably settled east of Fluvial Village.

How to remove a talent in Yaoling Mythical Journey

To begin with, ensure you have a character with the desired Talent to be taken away within your team, and possess an Amber Teardrop spirit gem in your stockpile. This is a typical yet distinct requirement for certain spiritual procedures.

  1. Go to the Spirit Gem section of your inventory and right-click the Amber Teardrop.
  2. Select the party member you want to forget a Talent on the yaoling list.
  3. Right-click the Spirit Gem on the left menu.
  4. Click ‘forget’ next to the talent you want to remove.
  5. Click ‘accept’.

The talent will now be removed, allowing you to put a new one in its place!

How to add new talents in Yaoling Mythical Journey

Ensure that the yaoling you intend to bestow a talent upon is a member of your party, and carries no more than three other talents. Failing this condition, you’ll be unable to grant an additional talent.

  1. Go to the Spirit Gem section of your inventory and right-click the one you want to add.
  2. Select the party member to whom you want to add the Talent to the yaoling list.
  3. Right-click the Spirit Gem on the left menu.
  4. You’ll see the new Talent in the yaoling’s list, with the word ‘learn;’ over it. Click ‘learn.
  5. Click ‘accept’.

The best talent combos in Yaoling Mythical Journey

Talents Guide and best combos in Yaoling Mythical Journey

When encountering elite yaolings with multiple rare abilities, keep in mind that these are chosen at random and therefore, not always beneficial to that specific yaoling. For instance, an Elemental Mastery yaoling without the capability to inflict elemental damage is essentially wasting one of its talent slots. After identifying the most effective yaolings for your team, equip them with talents tailored to their roles.

Best assassin Talent combo

Assassins’ units shine brilliantly yet seldom survive till the end of the fight. This talent configuration prioritizes mobility while ensuring an explosive exit.

  • Explosive (rare): When you die you explode, dealing a third of your max HP as damage to nearby enemies.
  • Grand Entrance (common): Gets you straight to the opponent’s back row at the beginning of the battle so that you can attack their weaker units.
  • Martyr (common): When you die, all allies get an 80 percent attack speed bonus for 6 seconds.
  • Rampage (rare): If you kill an enemy you blink behind another and get 100 percent Lifesteal for 10 seconds.

Best ranged DPS Talent combo

With this ranged Damage Per Second (DPS) character setup, you sacrifice mobility for an advantage in attack frequency and a higher critical hit probability at the beginning of battles.

  • Firework (rare): You fire additional shots in 8 directions when attacking.
  • Rapid Fire (common): You trade in move speed for a 60 percent chance to fire bonus shots.
  • Tai Chi (common): Every 8 seconds you’ll 100 percent reflect the next attack on you.
  • Warmed Up (common): Get +100 percent to your Crit Chance for the first 6 seconds of combat.

Best tank Talent combo

Surviving is the primary goal, so enhancing your defense is crucial. Additionally, you’ll attract nearby foes and partially absorb the harm inflicted upon you.

  • Extrovert (common): This ups your DEF while decreasing attack range, which you don’t need in melee much anyway.
  • Instinctive (common): If your HP drops below 50 percent, you’ll get a nice +20 to DEF.
  • Rock Solid (rare): 20 percent of all damage taken is reflected onto nearby enemies.
  • Wind Vortex (rare): You have a 15 chance to pull nearby enemies to you on each hit, doing bonus damage in the process.

Best melee DPS Talent combo

Here, everything is designed to inflict maximum damage in a short amount of time. This includes acquiring reflect damage and area-of-effect (AOE) damage.

  • Mirror Skin (rare): The first three hits on you are instead reflected onto the attacker for 100 of the damage.
  • Rainstorm (rare): After every 9 seconds you attack every nearby enemy.
  • Tyrant (legendary): Gain a 35 percent bonus to your ATK stat.
  • Warmed Up (common): For the first 6 seconds of the battle your Crit Chance is +100 percent.
