Music controllers can significantly enhance any gaming experience, and Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival is arguably one of the finest demonstrations of this. Originally launched for Nintendo Switch in 2022, this drum-focused rhythm game is now available on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5 starting November 7 at a price of $50. If you’ve been out of the loop, it’s a vibrant burst of fun that has you tapping along to the rhythm of a traditional taiko drum. The game boasts an extensive music library with 76 tracks spanning various genres such as anime themes, video game soundtracks, pop music, and many others. A really nice extra touch here are the details on the drum stand and the drumsticks. They’ve got decorations of the Taiko game characters all over them, giving the controller a surprisingly elegant and cartoonish design. It’s cute and sophisticated stuff.
