Taco Bell is adding fajita flavor back to the menu with two new items available for a limited time, starting this week.
Starting June 18th, Taco Bell is adding new Fajita Street Chalupas and Chicken Fajita Nacho Fries to the menu at many locations nationwide. This is the first time the chain has used fajita-style peppers and onions in these types of items.
So, Taco Bell says they brought back these new items because people like me have always loved the taste of fajitas at Taco Bell. Apparently, they’ve been doing fajita-flavored stuff since way back in the 80s, and they’re just building on that now. Basically, they heard us, the fans, and delivered!
Taco Bell’s Fajita Street Chalupas launch at under $6
Fajita Street Chalupas come in pairs and are filled with flavorful, seasoned peppers and onions inside Taco Bell’s signature cheesy Street Chalupa shells. You can choose between tender marinated steak or slow-roasted chicken, and they’re topped with a creamy jalapeño sauce and a fresh onion-cilantro mix.
Taco Bell is adding new Chicken Fajita Nacho Fries to the menu! These fries take their popular Nacho Fries and top them with tender, slow-cooked chicken, sautéed peppers and onions, creamy jalapeño sauce, reduced-fat sour cream, nacho cheese, and a mix of cheeses.
Taco Bell’s new fajitas are designed to deliver the same bold taste and enjoyable experience as their restaurant versions, no matter where customers are eating, according to Luis Restrepo, the company’s Chief Marketing Officer.
We wanted to focus on the delicious peppers and onions that are key to fajitas and incorporate those flavors into familiar foods. This way, fans can enjoy the taste they love without needing the traditional sizzling presentation.
To celebrate the new fajita menu, Taco Bell is teaming up with artist Ian Charms to create a special necklace. The necklace will feature charms shaped like popular items, including Street Chalupas, hot sauce packets, Baja Blast cups, the Taco Bell logo, and fajita peppers and onions – all available for a limited time.
A limited-edition necklace will be released on Tuesday, June 23rd at 2 PM Pacific Time via a special drop for Taco Bell Rewards members. Only 300 members will have the chance to get one through the Taco Bell app, while supplies last.
