As an ardent Overwatch fan, I’m thrilled to share that the talented actress behind Sombra’s voice, Carolina Ravassa, has recently tied the knot! What made this event even more special was the presence of another familiar face – the actor who brings Symmetra to life, officiating the ceremony.
Despite the fact that Overwatch primarily functions as a multiplayer shooter, it boasts an extensive roster of unforgettable characters. Consequently, after investing countless hours into gameplay, many players find themselves with the characters’ voices and catchphrases etched deeply within their memories.
Not only do these heroes’ voices resonate with the community, but there’s also a strong connection amongst the actors themselves. They’ve often spoken about a unique camaraderie, or “special bond,” within their cast.
It became strikingly evident during the wedding of Carolina Ravassa (Sombra), which was officiated by Anjali Bhimani (Symmetra), as many other former Overwatch cast members were present.

April 21st saw Ravassa posting a TikTok compilation featuring snapshots and clips from her memorable event, highlighting the gathering of the “Overwatch community”. In attendance at the celebration were Jonny Cruz (Lucio), Paul Nakauchi (Hanzo), Feodor Chin (Zenyatta), and Jeannie Bolet (Echo) – members of this close-knit group.
During the event, Anjali Bhimani and Zach Betka, known for their work as a writer on Valorant, were in charge of conducting the proceedings.
She expressed in the video that she wanted to showcase these photos as they had been exceptionally well-executed; Zach and Anjali truly excelled, leaving everyone impressed, to the point of causing tears among us.
Afterward, there were pictures taken at the party that evening, showing some rather dubious dance routines performed by several cast members.
The video surfaced on the Overwatch 2 subreddit, where fans were thrilled to find out that the performers who voice their beloved characters were actually meeting up in person. One enthusiastic fan commented, “This is just adorable! From coworkers to best friends!
The first one exclaimed, “How incredibly charming! I adore it!” while the second marveled, “What is it about them that makes them the sweetest and purest voice acting team?
As the roster of voice talents continues to expand, we can expect it to get even larger with the addition of Freja joining in Season 16, followed by the arrivals of Aqua and character number 45 in upcoming updates.
