Freida McFadden, the author of the popular novel The Housemaid, has another book heading to the big screen. Studiocanal has acquired the rights to adapt her upcoming novel, The Divorce, after a competitive bidding process. The film will be a co-production with Working Title and is based directly on the book, which will be available in bookstores on May 26th. Readers who enjoyed the suspense of The Housemaid can expect a similarly dark and twisty story in The Divorce.
