Sydney Sweeney Says Cassie Is ‘Even Worse’ in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3, ‘Can’t Confirm or Deny’ if Character Is Getting Married After Leaked Set Pic: ‘That Could Be AI!’

Don’t fret, enthusiasts of “Euphoria”: Sydney Sweeney has verified that we can expect Cassie to become increasingly unhinged in Season 3.

On “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” last Thursday, Sweeney was questioned by the host regarding potential returns to her “Euphoria” character and the series’ universe, following a gap of three years.

“Cassie is crazy,” Sweeney said bluntly, evoking laughter from the audience.

“So, she still is?” Fallon asked, to which Sweeney responded: “Oh, she’s even worse.”

Later, Fallon revealed an on-set photograph of Sweeney dressed in a wedding gown that had been leaked, sparking online conjecture about whether Cassie might be getting married – possibly to Jacob Elordi’s character Nate – during the third season of the HBO show.

As a passionate cinephile, I’d rather not spill the beans on whether Cassie ties the knot, but who knows? Maybe it’s an intriguing twist of AI in the story!

“No, it can’t,” Fallon quipped.

However, before fans of Sweeney can lay their hands on “Euphoria” Season 3 (expected for 2026), the actor has a new movie available now – the Apple TV+ thriller “Echo Valley”, featuring Julianne Moore as his mother. In this film, when Sweeney’s character appears at Moore’s doorstep with blood on him, the boundaries of what a mother will do to safeguard her daughter are pushed to their extremes.

When asked by Fallon about filming heated argument scenes with Moore, Sweeney admitted that she “felt really sorry” or “was very sympathetic.

She stated that she had acted in this manner because she can be quite ruthless. She further explained that while filming, she often switches between her character and herself. This change is somewhat unnerving, as it feels almost schizophrenic. They’d shout ‘Action!’, and she’d start yelling and crying. When they called ‘Cut!’, she’d inquire about what was wrong.
