Switch 2: This Publisher Sees An “Opportunity” After Its Games Were Successful On OG Switch

In their recently published yearly financial report, Devolver Digital shares some insights concerning potential plans for the next Nintendo Switch model.

As a dedicated gamer, I can personally attest that the original Nintendo Switch has been my go-to gaming platform, with over 9 million copies of its diverse games sold (according to GoNintendo). With such a significant following, it’s no wonder that Devolver sees an exciting opportunity with the upcoming Switch 2. Moreover, it was thrilling to see three of their highly anticipated titles – Starseeker, Human Fall Flat 2, and Enter the Gungeon 2 – showcased in the recent Nintendo Direct event.

Among the titles from Devolver Digital that have been released on Nintendo Switch are Hotline Miami, Always Sometimes Monsters, The Talos Principle, Reigns: Three Kingdoms, and The Plucky Squire. These games span different genres and offer unique experiences for players.

On June 5, The Switch 2 is scheduled for launch. Some people are speculating whether Nintendo might increase the console’s price as a result of Trump’s contentious tariffs, but it’s still uncertain at this point.

Initially planned to start on April 9, the preorders for two products had to be postponed by Nintendo because of the tariffs. As of now, there’s no confirmed date for when preorders will reopen in the U.S., but we might hear about it soon.
