Switch 2-Exclusive Racing Game Gets Free Content Update This Week

Fast Fusion stands out as one of the rare Switch 2-exclusive games currently available, and it’s been well-received by many players so far. The game’s developer, Shin’en, is planning to offer a free content update for the game towards the end of this week, which includes three new racing tracks.

According to Nintendo Life, I’m super excited that Fast Fusion’s update drops on June 26th! This update brings three fresh new tracks to the game, making our racing world even bigger. From what I’ve seen in the screenshots, these tracks will take us through bustling cities and breathtaking natural landscapes, with a variety of weather conditions adding an extra layer of challenge. Can’t wait to hit the tracks!

Alongside this new content release, the update will also introduce various adjustments and enhancements aimed at optimizing the game’s performance. Shin’en has incorporated a “Pure” graphics setting that disables upscaling and runs the game at 1440p dynamic resolution when docked and 1080p while portable, with the intention of minimizing any graphical haze caused by DLSS. The team is also addressing some technical issues and making advancements to streamline progression in the game. For a comprehensive rundown of all changes, please refer to the detailed patch notes provided below.

Fast Fusion is the latest installment in the Fast series of hovercraft racing games, offering 4K/60FPS gameplay, thanks to DLSS technology. It’s one of the select titles exclusively available on the new console and priced affordably at just $15. You can get a sneak peek of the game by watching the launch trailer above.
