Survivor is being turned into an animated movie with animal contestants

The popular reality show Survivor is being reimagined as an animated comedy where animals will compete for the title of Sole Survivor.

This popular show drops contestants into the wild where they have to find their own food, build shelter, and make fire. Each day brings new physical and mental challenges, and those who perform poorly risk being eliminated. The last contestant remaining, proving they can outsmart, outperform, and outlast everyone else, is named Sole Survivor.

The show has been adapted for audiences around the world, with versions created in countries like Australia, South Africa, Germany, and Norway. But now, a completely new take on the format is coming – this one will star animated animals!

In a recent video, Jeff Probst announced that Survivor is teaming up with Paramount Animation to create a feature film. He explained the movie will capture everything fans love about the show – memorable contestants, humor, unexpected partnerships, intense competition, unpredictable moments, and genuine emotion.

This isn’t your typical reality show – the contestants are all animals! Think of it as a hilarious, cartoon version of Survivor, but set in the wild.

Survivor has always focused on observing how people with different personalities adjust to living and competing alongside one another. Now, framing the competition around animal behavior adds an exciting new dynamic.

Jeff Probst, the host of all 50 seasons of the US version of the show since it began in 2000, will also be an executive producer. We don’t know when it will be released yet, but you can find a list of this year’s biggest movie releases on our calendar.
