As a movie enthusiast with a keen eye for horror films that leave me gripped by fear and curiosity, I can’t help but feel a palpable sense of anticipation upon hearing about “825 Forest Road.” Having delved deep into the genre’s rich tapestry over the years, I find myself particularly intrigued by this latest offering from Stephen Cognetti, the man behind the critically acclaimed “Hell House LLC.
As a movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve got exclusive news about an upcoming supernatural horror flick – “825 Forest Road”. This chilling masterpiece is the newest creation from the mind behind “Hell House LLC”, Stephen Cognetti, based right here in the U.K.
The movie signifies a shift for director Cognetti from his background in found-footage style films towards conventional storytelling through narrative. The story revolves around a character named Chuck who, following a family tragedy, relocates with his wife and sister to a new town. However, his new beginning is disrupted when he uncovers that the town is tormented by an evil entity linked to Helen Foster, a woman who took her own life in the 1940s. As the otherworldly danger intensifies, Chuck embarks on a quest to find Foster’s old home at the given address to put an end to the haunting.
The project brings together Cognetti with “Hell House LLC” producer Joe Bandelli, who works in collaboration with Dana Guerin and Cindi Rice from Epic Level Entertainment (known for “Charlie Says,” “To Your Last Death,” “Blood Born”). John Frank Rosenblum takes on the role of executive producer.
Cognetti expressed his excitement that ‘825’ is finally coming out, allowing people to witness our chilling small-town ghost story,” he shared. “Making this movie was a joy for me, as the narrative held deep personal significance. The incredibly skilled actors and crew put in so much effort, and it was a privilege to collaborate with everyone on such an engaging project.
The movie has been added to Blue Finch‘s existing lineup, along with Jean Luc Herbulot’s award-winning film “Zero” from Sitges, the Indonesian horror offering “The Draft!” that was shown at Fantastic Fest, and the Brazilian horror production “A Mother’s Embrace,” which has been screened at Beyond Fest and Sitges recently.
