Krispy Kreme and Super Mario are joining forces! To celebrate the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Krispy Kreme is releasing three special, limited-edition donuts inspired by the film.
Starting April 8th in Japan, a new collaboration will offer fans three special donuts inspired by Mario, Yoshi, and Luma. There’s also a surprise “Question Block” donut that comes with a random collectible item, like a power-up from the game. The collaboration runs through May 26th.
Mario’s donut is a classic with strawberry icing and colorful sprinkles. Yoshi’s treat features a white chocolate coating and a creamy custard filling. Luma’s donut has a space-inspired design, boasting a blueberry glaze and silver decorations that mimic a galaxy.
In addition to the individual donuts, Krispy Kreme is offering special box sets. One option is a six-pack that includes both the new collaboration donuts and classic favorites like Original Glazed and Double Chocolate Crunch, all inside a collectible box.
Krispy Kreme teams up with Mario to deliver sweet treats
Individual donuts cost from ¥388 (about $2.44), while a box of donuts can cost up to ¥1,825 (around $11.50). There’s also a special “Question Block” donut available for ¥540 (approximately $3.40).
The collaboration features fun extras like a special Mario-themed eco-bag for $12.50 and collectible stickers with qualifying purchases. Plus, the Krispy Kreme store in Shibuya Cine Tower will be completely transformed with decorations featuring Mario, Peach, Yoshi, Bowser Jr., and more!

Right now, you can only find Mario’s special donut at Krispy Kreme locations in Japan. However, it might become available in other countries soon, especially since McDonald’s is already releasing a Mario-themed Happy Meal with toys and online games.
The Super Mario Galaxy movie is coming to theaters on April 1, 2026! It follows Mario and his friends as they embark on a brand new adventure in space, traveling to various planets and galaxies. They’ll have to overcome challenges from Bowser and his son, Bowser Jr., along the way.
