Apologies to Mike Faist’s fans, but it appears that someone else, Joseph Zada, has been cast as Yung Woody in the upcoming Hunger Games prequel, Sunrise on the Reaping. According to Entertainment Weekly, Zada is set to play Haymitch Abernathy in the film focusing on the Second Quarter Quell. Before taking on the role of Haymitch, Zada will star in the Amazon series We Were Liars alongside Mamie Gummer. He’ll also share the screen with the fan-favorite choice for Haymitch, Faist, in Zoe Kazan’s adaptation of East of Eden.
The next significant disclosure involves the actress portraying Haymitch’s missing sweetheart, Lenore Dove Baird. The ethereal and exceptional woman called Lenore will be brought to life on screen by Whitney Peak, who starred in the revived series of “Gossip Girl” and also featured in “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”. Moreover, Peak serves as a global ambassador for Chanel.
The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest Festival
In this rendition, Haymitch’s games during the Second Quarter Quell are portrayed in “The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest Festival.” While Katniss was initially introduced to these events during her training in the original trilogy, Suzanne Collins expanded on the details in a subsequent novel. Warning: it’s a grim period! The film adaptation of “The Hunger Games: Dawn of the Harvest Festival” is set for release on November 20, 2026.
