At the moment, this resource is being organized for better readability. Since you’re looking at it right now, bear in mind that it’s still in the process of being refined. It might be undergoing edits even as you read this.
The updated version of the classic game Suikoden II has arrived, and a crucial part of it involves gathering all 108 Star of Destiny characters. If your goal is to complete the game fully and unlock all achievements, we’re ready to assist you.
This step-by-step guide is designed to help players who prefer not to frequently flip through pages in a lengthy walkthrough, but still want to ensure they don’t miss any key elements that are necessary for gathering all treasure chests or recruiting every character. To the extent possible, this guide will be as spoiler-free as feasible; however, there may be instances where I mention a character is about to leave the party for logistical purposes related to inventory management.
Compared to Suikoden I, Suikoden II offers a more complex gaming experience, but it remains generally accessible. The majority of the dungeon zones follow a linear path, and completing a task list for item collection should be sufficient as you progress. However, certain sections of the game may require extra attention due to their intricacy, which we will guide you through.
In contrast to Suikoden I, Suikoden II offers a greater number of achievements linked to mini-games. This guide aims to assist you in discovering the ideal moments for completing these events, ensuring you collect every achievement.
What this walkthrough will do:
- Offer a minimalist walkthrough so you know what you need to do at any point in the game.
- Point out recruits and missables so you can easily complete the game 100%.
- The guide attempts to be spoiler-free, but there will be moments where I will say “this character will leave your party soon” for item management reasons.
What the walkthrough will not do:
- Offer in-depth strategies for bosses or party build.
- In-depth Dungeon Walkthroughs. Basic directions will be provided to help navigate to all items, but other than that, most locations in Suikoden are straightforward.
Chapters
TBD
Opening
Note: There is an achievement for beating Suikoden II on Hard Mode. So, make sure you have chosen that setting if interested
- After naming your character, you wake up in an army camp. The events here can vary slightly depending on what you do, but ultimately, head north for a scene, you’ll end up meeting Luca Blight, and Rowd will sic soldiers on you.
- If you pick “Look at that current … we’ll never make it!” four times, you will fight an extra battle. It’s worth fighting a handful of battles for some quick level ups.
- If you fight 108 battles, you get the opening credits sequence in color. Otherwise, the sequence will be in gray-scale. You don’t have to get the color sequence at all, it’s just an easter egg for those who want to grind out 108 battles at this point.
- After some scenes (pick whichever dialogue you’d like), you’ll end up a prisoner at Mercenary Fortress.
Mercenary Fortress
- Here you will have to do some chores for Pohl. The first set will have you pushing boxes and picking up a Rope on the floor.
- For the next set of chores, talk to Barbara in the lower left for two pairs of boots.
- Talk to the blacksmith to the north for 3 Flints.
- (You can get extra Boots and Flint with certain options but it’s really mostly a waste of inventory space. I would not bother.)
- Head upstairs and talk to the item shop. You’ll need to get Flour. You’ll team up with Gengen and Tuta and head to the ceity of Ryube.
World Map
- Don’t bother fighting too many random battles, just head to Ryube to the NE.
Ryube
- Grab the Flour from the Item Shop. Return to Mercenary Fortress.
Mercenary Fortress
- Give Pohl the Flour.
- After the scenes, you will need to clean up oil spills.
- Two in the basement, one on 1F, one on 2F, one in Flik’s room. Return to Pohl when finished.
- More scenes will take place at night, Jowy will try to break you out. Follow the events, pick whichever choices, and eventually Jowy will break you out of your cell. Head to 2F and leave through the SW. You’ll climb down the rope and leave.
- Head back to Ryube.
Ryube
- You’ll meet traveling street performers and a scene will take place. When Eilie begins to throw knives, never move.
- Eilie, Bolgan, and Rina join your party. Remember to set your formation.
- You can sharpen some weapons at the blacksmith. This is effectively your first battle party.
- Head noth to North Sparrow Pass.
North Sparrow Pass
- After the scenes, the dungeon itself is linear.
- First West for for Fire Wall scroll
- There is a pool of water near this that will replenish your HP and MP. Use this if you want to gain some quick levels with this battle team.
- Scrolls are new to Suikoden II. They basically contain spell charges that any character can use, provided the scroll is ‘equipped’ in an accessory slot. While this does have its uses, inventory space is limited, so you probably won’t want to rely on scrolls often. Eventually you will gain the capability to create scrolls on your own.
- Take the next East fork to an Escape Talisman
- Take the next middle fork for a Chest Plate.
- You’ll eventually run into your first Boss: Mist Shade – Use fire spells, Rina’s Angry Blow, and the Fire Wall Scroll you picked up.
- After the boss, take the east fork to Wind Feather Ornament
World Map
- Head to Kyaro Village nearby.
Kyaro Village
- Eilie, Rina, and Bolgan will leave the party here. They’ll be back, eventually.
- Save at the inn.
- Head to the north part of town and check the shop. You may be able to buy Winged Boots in the Rare Finds section. Reload if they aren’t there, if you want them. They’re accessories and they’re rare, so don’t fret too much if you can’t get them to show up.
You can exploit this by saving your game BEFORE you check Rare Finds, and if the item you want is not there, reload. This guide will point out certain notable items you might find at various Rare Finds sections throughout the game. Always remember to Save first, before checking, or alternatively, remember to check back later.
- In Kyaro, head left a screen to Riou’s house. Before entering the house, head upware past the right side of the building to the backyard. Investigate the tree three times and Mukumuku will join. He’s a squirrel, and yes, he is a Star of Destiny.
- Like with the original Suikoden, I’ll start counting the Stars of Destiny once we have our own base to do so.
- Enter Riou’s house and check the desk in the lower left room for ??? Book (Old Book Vol. 1).
- Like in Suikoden 1, Old Books can eventually be turned into your base. While this guide will point out all these books, there’s no achievement for collecting them all.
- Exit through the back door and see the scene with Nanami, Riou’s sister. She’ll join the party.
- After, as you are leacing check the vases in the center. You get to pick one to take with you, which is basically meant to be sold for Potch. The Medium sized Vase is actually the most valuable.
- Afterward, leave the house. During the scene, you may fight Rowd depending on your choices, but ultimately it’s just part of a long cutscene.
- Watch the events. Eventually, Viktor and Flik will rescue you.
- When given the choice, make sure to choose to save Nanami.
- After all the events, leave the village when you can.
After departing from the North Sparrow Pass and reaching the Mercenary Fortress, Flik and Viktor will part ways with your group. If you’d like to adjust your team, you can do so by speaking to Leona. You might even consider adding Gengen to your squad.
You have the option to upgrade your weapons up to level 3 at the blacksmith. Additionally, you can store extra items at Barbara.
If needed, you can also take a break or save your progress at Pohl.
Your next destination should be Toto village, which lies northwest of the fort. Be sure to bring along any valuable items as there’s an appraisal shop in the village.
1. Visit the item appraisal store (symbolized by a magnifying glass).
2. Step into the Inn, converse with Zamza who’s located upstairs. If Nanami is accompanying you, he will agree to join.
Speak with the individual, Rikimaru, who is resting on the ground. Assist him by settling his 3000 Potch debt, and he’ll agree to accompany you.
Discuss with Millie, the woman wearing a white hat, located in the northeastern part of town. Opt for helping her, and you’ll be escorted into Ryube Forest.
1. Follow the path west at the first junction, return the little bird to its nest.
2. Proceed west at the second intersection to acquire Leather Cape and Gauntlets. The northeast direction takes you to a house that you can’t interact with yet.
3. Return to the initial fork and head east. Eventually, you’ll encounter Bonaparte (boss). Overcoming him will result in Millie joining your party permanently!
4. Return to where the bird was originally found. A new character named Kinnison should be there now. Share with him that you saved the bird, and express your desire for companionship; he’ll join your adventure accompanied by his dog Shiro.
Head back to Toto Village
After gathering your team members, you arrive at Toto Village. Throughout the ensuing events, feel free to choose any available options. Proceed towards her house for additional scenes. Here, Pilika will reward you with 70 Potch for buying a birthday present for her father.
1. Travel to Coronet located in the southwest region. You can enhance your weapons up to rank 5 and purchase slightly superior armor there.
2. Once prepared, make your way to Muse situated north of Coronet.
3. Visit the shop in Muse. It’s best to decline the offered option when presented. Jowy will offer his signet ring, you’ll receive a Wooden Amulet and 1500 Potch as a result.
4. Upgrade your armors at the equipment store where you currently are. Additionally, attach runes at the rune shop.
5. Make your way back to Toto Village when done.
Step into Toto Village, where a friendly encounter awaits. You’ll meet Apple, a familiar figure, accompanied by Pilika.
Upon re-entering, speak with Hanna and opt for “Let’s fight side by side.” He will then join your party. Make your way back to the Mercenary Fortress.
-In this setting, the action unfolds spontaneously. Following that, proceed towards the command center for another sequence of events. Upon completion, you’ll be rewarded with 2000 units of currency. Then, your destination is Ryube.
Follow the instructions I gave you before: Go to the house first, then take a left turn and afterward, a right one. Afterward, meet up with Tsai at that junction. Then return to the fort. En route, you’ll encounter a scene involving Luca Blight. In this instance, the choice you make won’t have an impact on the storyline.
-Let’s proceed with the scenario. First, save your progress, then make your way to the command center. Inform them that you are ready for combat. The challenge will be a duel against Flik.
If you duel, it means attacking. To defend is changing that to special abilities. Your special abilities will then be used for an attack. After that, leave the room for another scene. You’ll get the opportunity to name your army, and you’ve chosen “Dunan”. This is the last time you can access storage for a while. Proceed to the front of the fortress for a scene, which initiates the first War Battle.
Defending the Mercenary Fortress
-Tutorial Battle
The Second Defence of the Mercenary Fortress
-Tutorial Battle. You have to lose.
As a gamer, here’s how I would rephrase it:
“Soon, a crucial decision awaits. Stay alert! In the near future, you’ll find yourself within the fortress walls. Decide on ‘I choose to accompany you’. Navigate through a series of skirmishes en route to the command center.
In this pivotal moment at the command room, be swift and select option 1, ‘Rescue her.’
Following these events, you’ll be paired with some of the recruits you’ve previously amassed. Your journey then takes you towards Muse, passing by Toto along the way.
Visit Pilika for a series of scenes. During these scenes, you’ll reconnect with Leknaat and witness glimpses of Riou, Nanami, and Jowy’s childhood. The story concludes with Jowy obtaining the Black Sword Rune, while Riou receives the Bright Shield Rune. Any runes that were previously equipped by these characters will be moved to your inventory. So, let’s make our way to Muse!
After the encounter with the guard, proceed eastward towards the White Deer Inn to check if everyone has their equipment up-to-date, weapons honed, and levels maximized.
1. Step into the White Deer Inn for a brief moment.
2. Engage in conversation with the Peddler at his table early in the day for some purchasing options.
3. Exit the White Deer Inn and choose to assist Alex for a subsequent event.
4. Traverse slightly to the right and climb a few screens upward to locate a door, leading to another scene within the ruins. Proceed inside the ruins for your next encounter.
1. Investigate the pedestal close to the door to unlock it.
2. Choose the western path for a Mega Medicine and Stone of Magic. Proceed north until you reach the next screen.
3. Opt for the eastern then southern fork for Angry Blow. Cross the bridge, then head north to obtain Gauntlets. Follow the route south, west, then north to the next area.
4. Upon reaching the six statues, nudge the top-right statue towards the bottom to open the door. Secure Shoulder Pads and the Round Plate. Return across the bridge and place the plate into the hole.
5. At the four-way fork, go west then north to obtain the Triangle Plate. Continue west to reach Fire Lizard Orb.
6. Return to the four-way fork, then head north again for a new four-way junction. Take the long eastern path and place the Triangle Plate in its designated spot.
7. At the four-way forks, continue heading north for Chain Mail.
8. Travel south along a dried riverbed for a bit, then west and south to reach the next area.
9. Proceed south at the fork, then west. Obtain the Square Plate. Return to the fork, then south, pick up Water Orb.
10. Head back to the initial four-way junction (by moving upward and to the right to leave the riverbed, then south), then east. Place the square plate to the right of the door, and enter. Secure Old Book Vol. 2 and Magic Drain Orb.
11. Return to the four-way junction, then north to the second four-way junction. Proceed west. Open the door and enter inside.
12. After some scenes, you’ll battle boss Double Head. Utilize Fire magic or Jowy’s rune.
13. Following the scenes, find your way back to the entrance, either by walking or using an Escape Talisman.
14. Upon exiting the Ruins, a small scene will unfold. When you re-enter the Inn, another scene will play out. Once you regain control, grab the Healing Herb placed near the ruins entrance and return to Nanami.
15. After more scenes, you can now enter Muse with your new Entry Permit.
Step into the world of Muse, where a sequence of events unfolds. Feel free to choose your preferred actions. Eventually, you’ll find yourself in the city, rescued by Viktor and Flik once more. So, make your way to the tavern on the right side of Muse and engage in conversation with Leona.
As a gamer,
-Head north-east from the Rune shop to meet Elza in a scene.
-Keep heading north to witness a scene with Clive.
-Make your way towards the city entrance for another interesting encounter. You’ll receive Sound Set #1 here.
-While Clive and Elza have their own storyline, it’s optional and doesn’t affect character recruitment or achievements. I won’t be aiming for these events in this guide. Rest assured, Clive will join my team at a later stage regardless.
Make your way to the city hall situated in the northern part of town for a meeting. Upon conversing with Mayor Anabelle, proceed to the designated room to chat with Jess. Opt for “We’re in”.
– Look for an old book named “Volume 4” on the bookshelf up ahead in the city hall.
– Step outside and walk towards the south. You’ll spot Tuta from Mercenary HQ a bit further down. Engage with him for a conversation, and he’ll accompany you.
– Go back inside the city hall and have a talk with Dr. Huan to obtain Recipe #3 (this can be overlooked if not done promptly).
– Head back to the tavern and chat with Leona for another conversation.
In the tavern, you can convince Anita to join your team by completing some tasks for her. Here’s what she needs:
-Refill her wine glass by speaking to Leona.
-Give her antitoxin, which you can purchase at the item shop in Muse.
-Compliment her by saying something like, “I’ve never seen a female swordsman as beautiful as you.”
-Once she brings up the topic of joining up, you can either ask her to join your team or suggest going on a date, and Anita will agree to join you.
Connecting the enchanted Drain Rune, found within Sindar Ruins, to Riou is a smart move. It enables him to sustain 1 Magic Point for his “Great Blessing” Rune skill, offering a dependable healing source.
Remember to enhance your party’s gear and hone your weapons at Coronet. Ensure that the rune slots are also well-equipped; you can purchase runes from the Rune Store in Muse.
Visit the Mercenary Stronghold, where you’ll find Templeton. Alternatively, journey to Toto Village, locate Templeton on the left side, and he’ll accompany you. Additionally, you will obtain the Suiko Map during this interaction.
As a fan, I’d say: Journey up north beyond Muse, towards the Muse-Highland Border. Speak with the guard there to unlock the gate, then chat with him again to gain access rightward. In the forest, venture all the way to the right until you reach a new screen, where you’ll find a Circlet in a chest.
Backtrack one screen to the left, then take the immediate northwest fork that leads to a Belt of Strength. Follow the northeast path and keep heading north until you hit another area. Continue on this northern course until you encounter a scene.
In the Highland camp, head northeast for a cinematic moment. Following this, you’ll be in a predicament and will need to flee. Before dashing off, grab the Fire Sealing Orb from the chest to the west. You’ll then find yourself near a fancy tent where Princess Jillia is, but your choices here won’t make a difference.
Afterwards, head southwest. You’ll be drawn into a compulsory battle with Jowy and Riou. After more scenes unfold, you’ll have another mandatory fight with the rest of your team. Choose “First, we have to escape from here.”
Now, make your way back to Muse.
1. Visit Anabelle’s office at City Hall for a brief encounter.
2. Return to Leona’s tavern for an interaction with Viktor and Flik.
3. Consider saving your progress here.
4. Head back to Anabelle’s office for an extended scene. The current choices don’t have any impact.
5. Go to the main entrance of Muse city to witness a scene featuring Nanami, who is waiting for Jowy. To fully experience this scene, ensure you keep choosing dialogue options to wait with her.
6. If you wish to do so, remove Jowy from your party equipment as he’ll be leaving soon.
7. In seven days, navigate to the northwest corner of town, follow the path, and converse with Viktor.
8. Proceed deeper into the area for more scenes. Return to Leona’s tavern when possible.
9. The following morning, save your game before engaging with Victor whenever you are ready, and you’ll initiate your third War Battle.
1st Turn: Make both of your City-State army units advance one space to the left. Leave all others in their current positions.
2nd Turn: Have Flik attack a mercenary called Gilbert. There’s a chance he might switch sides right after this attack. If that doesn’t happen, it’s advisable to restart and try again. Once Gilbert joins your side, advance every other unit by one space.
3rd Turn: Miklotov will arrive as reinforcement. Move all units forward again, advancing each unit by one more space.
4th Turn: Keep pushing your units towards the enemy positions.
5th Turn: Riou’s group should be close enough to Gilbert’s position for him to use his Bright Shield Rune and heal him.
From then on, the course of the battle may alter a bit depending on luck. If either Flik’s or Miklotov’s group gets defeated, it means one of their runes will be activated. If Gilbert’s team falls, as long as he says “Fall back,” it’s all good. Eventually, units will withdraw, and the battle will end.
1. Speak to Nanami when you’re in charge. The following day, make your way downstairs.
2. Return to City Hall for an interaction with Anabelle.
3. Head back to Leona’s for another conversation. Discuss your concerns about Jowy with Nanami.
4. Visit City Hall again to witness a scene involving Jowy and Kage.
5. At night, go back to Anabelle’s Office, then proceed to her private room on the left. A sequence of scenes will unfold. The decisions you make have no impact on the storyline. Later, find yourself in the city at night with only Riou and Nanami, defending against an attack from Highland. Head to the Tavern to fetch Pilika. Finally, depart Muse.
6. Following the scene, go to Coronet which is nearby.
1. Make your way to the Tavern, chat with the fellow in the corner to obtain Recipe #5.
2. Journey as far south and then west as you can, you’ll find a scene at the docks.
3. Return north to the Inn, where you’ll meet Eilie, Rina, and Bolgan again.
4. Save your game here, it’s wise to do so before facing the unpredictable RNG ahead.
5. Head back down to the docks, then move eastwards for a screen. You’ll encounter more acquaintances from Suikoden 1. Challenge Tai Ho in the dice game and defeat him.
6. Return to the Tavern to collect Eilie, Bolgan, and Rina, who will rejoin your party.
7. Travel back to Tai Ho, you’ll embark on a journey to Kuskus.
To reach Recipe #9, travel west for about two screens, enter the northern house, then inspect the bookcase located to the west. Here, you can sharpen weapons up to level 6. Remember to save at the Inn, and afterward, proceed to the Item Shop. If Recipe #11 isn’t available in the Rare Finds section, reload the game to try again until it appears for purchase. Don’t worry; you can always acquire this later on.
As an enthusiast, I’d like to share some tips from my gaming journey! In the Item Shop’s Rare Finds section, you can discover Old Book Vol.3. Remember to save before checking it out. Currently, Clive is present, but he’s not interactable at the moment.
After your encounter with Viktor, hold off on going to the Inn right away. Instead, move towards the east side of town. You’ll meet a priest named Gantetsu near a rock there. East of him, examine the row of plants. You should find a Friendship Orb, a useful weapon attachment that grows stronger as you recruit more characters. Nanami is an excellent choice for this.
Don’t forget to visit the Rune Shop and transfer Rina’s Fire Orb to Eilie.
Next, head to the Inn. This time, Viktor and Flik will permanently join your party.
Head north of Gantetsu to reach the town hall. Freed Y will join your party after some scenes, and you’ll also get a CG cutscene.
After that, return to the Inn. This time, Flik will leave.
Lastly, we should make our way towards North Window, located in the far NW of South Window, near the ocean. However, it’s wise to spend some time battling for money and EXP, as well as upgrading your equipment at the shop before heading there. Enjoy your gaming adventure!
In this situation, consider fleeing as a better option than engaging in a losing conflict. Make your way to the “Cave of the Wind” located to the south of the “North Opening”.
To obtain the Sun Badge, follow the path until you reach a three-way fork, then head northwest through the wall. Proceed west from the fork. For the Fish Badge, continue past the second fork, take the west route, then the north route, and follow the right path from the second fork. At the third fork, go left for Fire Wall, then right, followed by heading north to the next screen. You’ll encounter a series of rock-pushing puzzles; push the rocks as needed or use them to block the wind’s path. Rewards include 3000 Potch, Medicine, and a Blue Gate Orb. The NPC there will send you back if desired.
At the next fork, go south to reach Stone of Protection. Travel as far west and south as possible for Half Helmet. Take the northwest path to witness a scene featuring Kahn joining your party temporarily. Continue north along the linear path until you meet the Celestial Sword. This boss battle requires Riou’s healing abilities, with strongest attacks being used if no other options are available; Viktor can do significant damage with regular hits if his weapon was sharpened in Suikoden 1.
Heal up at South Window, then head to North Window
1. Navigate to the chamber where the battle for Fire Orb takes place.
2. Proceed west until you reach a large room filled with numerous stairs. Descend the southern staircase to acquire the Stone of Magic Defense.
3. Continue moving west until you’re in a room with five statues.
4. Shift the statue on the left to its new position, and a hidden door will open. Retrieve the Darkness Orb.
5. Back in the statue-filled room, place the misplaced middle statue in its proper central spot. Another secret door will be revealed. Enter it.
6. Continue your journey until you’re standing before ten torches. Arrange the bottom row of torches to match the top row (leave the 4th torch off on both). A concealed door will open, allowing you to collect the Blue Ribbon.
7. Back in the torch-lit room, illuminate the 4th torch in the upper row to proceed further.
8. Keep advancing along the linear path, and you’ll come across chests containing Chain Mail and Collar.
9. Continue on your journey to engage with boss Abomination.
10. Exit the castle as Kahn departs temporarily. Upon attempting to leave the area, Flik will appear, triggering a scene.
Approach the elderly woman close to the entrance. She’ll bring up the topic of young women being harmed.
Depart from Kuskus and return. During your journey across the bridge, a dramatic event will unfold. Choose any available options, and when Oulan proposes joining you, agree.
Make your way to Radat, which lies to the east.
At the shop within this location, you might discover Recipe #18 and Sound Set #5 among their Rare Items.
Swing by the Tavern and chat with the chef wearing a white hat to obtain Recipe #14.
Proceed eastward until you reach the final house on the screen; it belongs to Shu. A scene will unfold here.
Once done, make your way to the tavern and try exiting. Another scene is likely to occur.
In town, locate the man in a black coat, Richmond, and pay him 1500 Potch.
Take some rest at the Inn; another scene will follow.
Journey eastwards from Radat for several screens until you reach a bridge. Another scene awaits you here.
Speak to the man adorned with a white headband near the gate control on the left side and ask him to close the gate. Amada will appear, requesting him to shut it. You’ll engage in a one-on-one battle with Amada.
Duel: Amada
After, head south the bank for another scene. Shu will join you.
After regaining control, save your progress and return to Viktor in the central command station.
As a loyal supporter, I’m moving my troops towards Solon Jhee in preparation for the upcoming battle. On my first turn of action, I’ll position either Riou’s squad or the city-state soldiers to engage Solon Jhee. This aggressive move will trigger some Highland soldiers to switch allegiance. After this initial skirmish, I’ll continue with standard tactics and utilize Riou’s healing abilities whenever required. Over time, the Highlanders should retreat due to our relentless pursuit.
Following the fierce clash, I’ll find myself in various subsequent events. Viktor has summoned me to the local tavern for a chat, so I’m off to meet him to learn some intriguing backstory.
The following day, I’ll have a conversation with Shu in the command room and take on the role of Commander.
In the unfolding events, Dr. Huan will make an appearance, as will Leknaat and Luc.
Lastly, Barbara has joined our ranks, offering me a warehouse to stash my loot. She’s stationed on the first floor, so I’ll be heading there soon to clear out all my gear.
With the Stone Tablet of Promise in hand, let’s begin tallying our Fate Stars by conversing with Luc. You should now be ready for this step.

That’s 28/108!
Make my way towards the headquarters’ exit for an upcoming event.
Back to the command center for a scene unfolds.
Gather at the local tavern to assemble my team. Feel free to bring along whomever you prefer, but remember we’ll need Freed Y for some crucial recruitment matters.
Off to Kuskus!
After finding a place to rest at the inn, proceed to the docks in search of Tai Ho and Yam Koo. Engage in Tai Ho’s dice game and manage to win 5000 Potch. With this victory, both Tai Ho (level 29) and Yam Koo (level 30) will join you.
And then, make your way to Radat.
1. In the farthest south part of town, near the boundary, take a right to find Yoshino, who is doing laundry. Speak with her and she will join your group (Location 31/108).
2. Approach Richmond at the appraisal shop. He’ll propose a coin toss where you can’t win. Give up, then head over to the tavern. Talk to the man seated near the entrance, and he’ll give you an ordinary coin. Return to Richmond, present this new coin, and he will join your group (Location 32/108).
3. Make your way back to the bridge where Amada was previously located. Challenge him again in a duel, and if you emerge victorious, he will join your group (Location 33/108).
4. Return to Headquarters.
Visit the base and replace Amada with Tai Ho in your group for some optional dialogue later. This can be done at the local pub or tavern.
Swing by the Control Center for a scene.
Assemble your team, then make your way towards the HQ’s harbor. Once you reach the first floor main staircase, take the door to the right of the stairs that bears an anchor sign. A scene will unfold here.
Board the ship at the pier and sail to Kuskus. Continue to South Window for a designated scene.
1. Speak with Clive, if you ever sailed your vessel on the ocean, he’ll accompany you (34/108). Don’t let him leave your group!
2. Make your way to the upper level of the tavern and chat with Alex and Hilda. They’ll join your team, adding a Shop for Items and an Inn to your base (36/108).
3. To recruit the next member, purchase a Wind Orb from the Runes store and a Wooden Shield from the equipment shop. Additionally, stow away Clive’s Sacrificial Jizo in your bag. Travel to the building situated northwest of the equipment store.
4. Present him with the Sacrificial Jizo and Wooden Shield. After that, throw the Wind Orb at him. He’ll join your team (37/108).
As a gamer, I can now venture towards Lakewest Town, located by the tranquil lake, to the west. From the bustling town of Kuskus, I’ll be setting sail aboard my trusty vessel to reach this new destination and explore its hidden treasures.
1. Fitcher is departing, yet he will provide you with a Letter of Recommendation.
2. Look to your right at the vegetable barrel for the Kindness Orb, it’s an excellent weapon orb for Riou.
3. Step inside the Inn and converse with the man in green near the counter. This action advances Clive’s narrative. Ensure the time is less than 11:00:59. Fortunately, if you’ve remastered the game, you should have already disabled the event timer.
4. Examine the northern houses for Cabbage Seeds in the barrel.
5. In the NW-most house, inspect the spice rack to find Recipe 16. Subsequently, engage Taki four times. She will eventually join your party (38/108)
Head into Two River, west of Lakewest.
Turtle Plans #1: The Rockadillo enemies can drop Turtle Plans #1
1. In Two Rivers, beware of Chaco who will ambush you and swipe your valuable goods! You’ll eventually retrieve them, but it won’t be soon. Meanwhile, consider engaging in battles outside to accumulate more resources.
2. The shop here might offer Recipe #23 Rare Items. If you wish to acquire it, feel free to save and reload.
3. Visit the Inn and speak with Hans on the first floor. Request his assistance without offering payment, and he’ll become a part of your Headquarters (39/108).
4. A variety of events will unfold in Two Rivers. Rest assured, the decisions you make won’t have long-term effects, so choose as you please.
5. Navigate to the assembly hall located to the NW. Discuss with the guards for a scene, but unfortunately, your introduction letter gets stolen. Exit the screen and pursue Chaco to the NW.
6. Persistently chase Chaco until he’s cornered for another scene.
7. Explore the Item shop in the Winger District. Then, venture north to check out shops in the Kobold District before returning to the Assembly Hall for another scene.
8. Enter the building for more scenes, then proceed to the Inn.
9. Engage in a conversation with the innkeeper for a scene, followed by a private scene in your room. In the morning, return downstairs for another scene before heading back to the Assembly Hall.
10. Visit the Kobold District for a scene, and then return to the Winger District for another.
11. Chase Chaco once more, and this time he’ll enter a sewer.
1. Landsharks may drop Recipe #21. Store it if you obtain it.
2. Helmet
3. Resurrection Stone
4. Continue moving south. To encounter Sid, go west, but there’s nothing you can do with him yet.
5. Healing Gale
6. At the upcoming intersection, proceed north for Fire Emblem and Shield of Protection.
7. Save when you reach the save point.
8. Boss: Tough Pest Rat
9. You will arrive at Kobold Village. After the scene, return to Two Rivers for another scene. Visit the Assembly Hall again for another scene. Then move towards Winger District.
10. Follow Chaco for a scene. Later, return to the Two Rivers Inn to spend the night.
11. Step outside for an automatic scene. You’ll engage in an event battle. If you choose “We must hold them!”, you’ll fight two additional groups. Following some scenes, another event battle, and then more scenes.
12. In the morning, visit the assembly hall one last time. Fitcher will join (40/108), and Ridley will join (41/108) although the game does not explicitly state this.
13. Leave town, but re-enter. Travel to Granny Susu’s house in Winger Disctrict and speak with her. You’ll receive Spinach Seedling. Also, buy a single serving of fried tacos from Kobold District.
14. Return to Lakewest.
1. After saving your progress, make your way to the central building located in the north. Utilize the Fried Tacos on Riou and subsequently interact with Tetsu. He will be part of your team (43/108).
Or
2. First, save your game. Then, go to the northern center structure. Employ the Fried Tacos on Riou, followed by conversing with Tetsu. He’ll become a team member (43/108).
Your stronghold has reached level 2 now.
– To reach Hai Yo, a chef who will join your team (44/108), go from the Stone Tablet (where Luc usually stands), take a right, then a left, pass Tetsu’s bath, climb the stairs, turn left twice. You’ll find him there. Let’s postpone cookoffs for the time being.
– Visit the Tavern and gather Gengen, Chaco, and Clive into your group temporarily for recruitment reasons.
– Make your way to Radat next.
Speak with the blue-haired elf named Stallion who seems quite active. He proposes a race, but it’s not your typical contest of speed. Instead, it measures how often you’ve fled from battles. If you’ve escaped enough times, you’ll emerge victorious. However, if you haven’t, Stallion will inform you about the number of more escapes required. Fleeing or Letting Go also counts towards your tally. Stallion is preparing to participate (45/108).
Head over to the Inn, interact, save your progress, then talk to Shilo on the left. Ask him to join your team by challenging him in a game of dice. If you win 5000 Potch, he will agree (46/100). On the other hand, speak with Hix and Tengaar on the right side. They’ll engage in a brief scene before departing, and we’ll meet up with them later.
Navigate towards the Kobold district in the Two Rivers region, then make your way to the rightmost tent where you’ll encounter Gabocha. If Gengen is present, he’ll join your party without any explicit notification upon leaving the area (47/108).
Alternatively, leave the Two Rivers through the Kobold district’s western exit. At the base of the ladder where the save point or auto-save screen is located, go westward instead. You’ll find Sid there. As long as Chaco is accompanying you, he’ll decide to join your party (48/108).
On the world map, head to Muse-Greenhill border to the east.
Observe the situation. Regardless of your decisions, Meg (49/108) and Gadget (50/108) will be part of your troops.
Travel to the Forest Village located FAR to the NW. Ensure that Riou is level 30 or above before proceeding there.
Clive should comment on Elza being present now (time less than 1:00:59). Proceed northwards, beyond the trading post, and observe the spectacle.
– At the trading post, chat with the man on the right to obtain Old Book Vol. 6.
– In the building situated to the right of the trading post, converse with Tony twice. He’ll become part of your group (51/108). After he departs, engage the old man once more for another Spinach Seedling.
– Interact with the woman in orange, Wakaba, outside the Equipment Shop and pick the option “Well, what about me?”. If you have reached level 30 or higher, she’ll join your group (52/108).
Notice: Loot Alert! In the Greenhill region on your global map, tattered rags may yield either Turtle Blueprint #2 or Chick. This could be an excellent opportunity for you to acquire these items.
Journey to the Kobold Village situated south of Two Rivers, not the Kobold District within Two River. Upon arrival, you will encounter Tengaar and Hix once more. You might find Recipe #31 in Rare Finds at the item shop, but it’s up to you if you wish to acquire it by saving and reloading. Venture inside the chief’s hut located at the highest point of the village. After the sequences unfold, gather a Blue Stone, Red Flower, and Green Bell. Hix will join you for the quest.
Travel to South Window, and if necessary, drop by the headquarters. Also, visit the item shop to procure the Blue Stone before returning to Kobold Village.
Next, head to the Cave of the Winds to retrieve the Red Flower. Proceed with your journey there.
Finally, search for the Green Bell in the Two Rivers Sewer dungeon. Continue navigating through the complex until you find it.
Upon returning to Kobold Village, you’ll discover that Tengaar has departed for the Unicorn Forest.
Gather Recipe #13 from the Kobold positioned on the right side of the chief’s tent. Lastly, retrieve the Exertion Orb from the mortar and pestle stationed outside the chief’s hut.
1. Don’t rush to open the first treasure chest you encounter; it helps us acquire another farm animal.
2. Eagle Man might drop Recipe #12.
3. Avoid going east at the first junction as it leads to the chest we’re skipping.
4. To find Collar, move west twice, then south.
5. Travel all the way north, then east, and finally north again to reach Collar.
6. Move east to progress to the next area.
7. Keep following the path. At the fork, head towards the northeast direction for Collar, and then take the southeastern path afterwards.
8. As you advance, you’ll come across a particular scene. Afterwards, Hix (53/108) and Tengaar (54/108) will join your group.
9. Make your way back to where the Unicorn was previously located. There, you can find Main Gauche and Guard Ring, hidden behind a tree.
Here and now, it’s convenient to deliver your seedlings to Tony, and your recipes to Hai Yo, except for numbers 12, 21, 29, 34, and 36. Hope this helps!
Mole minigame
1. At base camp, head towards the control center for some action. Catch up with Shu in the morning to carry on.
2. Since you’re sneaking into a college, gather your junior team members and get going.
3. Swing by Forest Village, located northwest of Greenhill first. The equipment store is now open, and don’t forget to chat with the fellow to the right of the shopkeeper. Spend 2000 Potch for an Iron Hammer there.
In Greenhill, you can select names for your characters, Nanami and Flik. Journey north to enter the heart of Greenhill. The Item Shop has Recipe #25 in Rare Finds; save before attempting to obtain it. Speak with the cook on the west side of the Inn for Recipe #20. North from the Inn, you’ll witness a scene featuring a knight and a schoolgirl; choose an option.
Proceed north to the next area, then directly north to reach the Academy. Speak with Emilia at her desk. Before following her, engage a student in the Rune Class on your right who sells various Runes.
In the NW corner of the first floor, you’ll find Old Book Vol. 5 on a bookshelf. Converse with Emilia at the top center of the first floor. Ask about Shin and choose either option, revealing that Teresa has joined your party (55/108).
Leave the academy for a scene, as Flik is now busy. Visit the dorm building to the west and speak to the woman at the counter. Ascend the stairs and head south to your rooms. Inform Nanami you’re tired.
In the morning, exit the dorm for a scene with Flik. Outside the Academy entrance, encounter Emilia for another scene. Journey to the Inn for another scene, then head north of the academy for another interaction.
Rest at the dorms and select either option. In the morning, speak with Nina on the left-hand side of the Academy. Leave the Academy for another scene featuring Flik. Traverse the southern section of Greenhill to meet Fitcher.
Return north for a scene with Nina. Rest once more in the dorms (options 2 or 3). In the middle of the night, Nanami will awaken you; follow her for a brief interaction. After some exploration, the ‘ghost’ heads to the basement.
In the dimly lit basement, click the unlit lamp to reveal a door. Continue along the path and encounter Flik. Interact with the statue bust as the scene unfolds.
At the crossroads, proceed north-east towards Protection Mist. After that, move north-west. Keep going along the path until you reach a scene. Select “We stand with you.
In the morning, before speaking with Flik, visit the academy and sharpen or upgrade weapons at the Blacksmith if needed, upgrading them to level 8. Then speak to Flik and tell him you are ready.
Then, head south in Greenhill for a scene. Select any options that appear.
Afterward, return to Teresa’s hideout using the statue located in the northwest room of the academy. Be prepared for several event battles along the way.
Once the scene in Teresa’s hideout is over, make your way back to Greenhill. When you see a scene unfolding near the Academy, choose “Let’s go help!” and prepare for two event battles.
Navigate back to Teresa’s hideout in Greenhill Forest, where another exciting sequence unfolds.
Travel northwards to an unexplored part of the Greenhill Forest.
Take a right turn at the SE junction towards Toe Shoes.
Continue straight ahead at the next intersection, heading towards Silver Hat.
On your way, you’ll encounter Chimera Orb on the path.
A scene will play out. Select any choices that suit your preference.
Proceed South for further scenes and encounters.
New world map music! Head to Two Rivers
Visit the Runeshop first. Request Jean’s companionship there, and she should agree (located at 56/108). Then, journey south towards the Kobold Village.
1. Speak with Yuzu, the girl near the marketplace for assistance. Retrieve the sheep she requires, and she’ll join your party (progress: 57/108).
2. Return to the Unicorn Woods, proceeding to the third screen. You should find a Lamb there if you didn’t open the first chest initially. Upon returning from the woods, notice that the chest has been opened if you now possess the Lamb (Note: This may not always be the case).
1. Head over to the central control room next time you’re up. Teresa (58/108), Shin (59/108), and Nina (60/108) will all gather there.
2. Sleep in your bed when you need to rest, then make your way back to the command room later on.
3. Add Clive to your group for his upcoming event. Viktor is also now available after a long absence.
4. You can donate your Old Books to Emilia (you have 1-6), give Farm Animals to Yuzu, and pass any Seeds to Tony. Emilia is located on the bottom left side of Headquarters, while Tony and Yuzu are both on the upper right.
Kuskus
-The Blacksmith here can sharpen weapons to 11. Definitely worthwhile.
Head north of Greenhill to the Path of Matilda
Doremi Fairy is tasked with delivering Sound Set #2
Papa Holly is tasked with dropping Seed Potatoes
Zombie Goo can drop Recipe #29
Following the current sequence of events, move north as you cannot yet recruit Badeaux. Instead, go east and then north from him to find Guard Ring.
Move west and then north to reach the next location.
Advance north into the upcoming area.
Retrieve the chest containing Mega Medicine before proceeding NE towards Dragon Armor.
Take the lower eastern path where you’ll encounter Viki. You have the option of recruiting her (either option 1 or 2), and upon joining your team, she will be at 60/108 strength. You might also choose to teleport back to HQ now. It could be beneficial to drop off items in Storage before continuing.
On the following screen, you’ll witness a scene unfold.
Follow a northerly path for a viewpoint. Choose your preferred direction afterward, then rest up for the night.
Upon waking, proceed north and descend the stairs. Make your way towards the central room for another sight.
For this decision, simply select “I’ll be observing.” There’s no need to engage in the battle.
Observe the ensuing conflict. Should you decide to join, all you can do is wait; there’s no action you can take at this moment.
After the fight, make your way towards town. As you stroll past an appliance store called Appriase, take a moment to peer inside the glass cabinet. You might find a Violence Orb if you’re lucky. Exit the shop and head toward the southwest corner of town.
You’ll encounter Miklotov in another scene there.
If it’s still before 14:05, follow the story with Clive by heading to the Inn for another scene.
Upgrade your gear at the Equipment Shop and Rune Shop if you need to.
Leave Matilda behind and journey southwards. Your destination is Highway Village, located towards the southeast.
Visit Highway Village:
– Grab Rabbit Plans #2 and Recipe #26 from the Uncommon Items Shop.
– Engage with the boy near the houses housing a Calf. Purchase what he’s offering.
– Stop by the Inn for a brief encounter with Futch and Humphrey, old acquaintances.
– Chat with Humphrey, and when presented with options, choose any. The next day, talk to him again and select either option.

Next, take the second fork moving east (E) to encounter Thunder Runner, continue towards the subsequent area.
Follow the path northeast (NE) for the Lightning Amulet, and proceed down the following path.

After defeating Harpy, engage in the scene that follows. When Humphrey speaks up, ask him to join your party.
You’ll be meeting Futch and Humphrey, they are numbers 62 and 63 on our list.
And here’s a hint: Talk to the lady residing in the central house of Kent’s neighborhood for Recipe #32.
If you have to, go to Headquarters. Viki can teleport you back when you’re done. Once prepared, proceed to the Muse-Maltila Checkpoint, which is located south of Highway Village.
When conversing with Mikotov, opt for “Alright.” Escort him along with you.
In interaction with the southern guards, feel free to select any response.
Proceed towards Matilda’s Muse.
In this setting, you’ll witness a particular moment. Then, let’s move on to the next brief scene with Muse. Exiting towards the NW, we’re off to another scene and encounter. On our return journey, we’ll pass by Rockaxe. Along the route, there will be a short conversation at the Muse-Matilda Checkpoint.
Observe the unfolding events upon your arrival. Afterward, return to Rockaxe Castle for further developments. In this process, Miklotov (64/108) and Camus (65/108) will join your team. Eventually, you’ll find yourself back at Headquarters.
1. Head to the main control center for events.
2. At night, make your way up to your room for a scene with Pilika.
3. In the morning, chat with Nanami downstairs then head to the command center. Assemble your group and speak with Viki to teleport to Radat.
Let’s move indoors instead.
Select “Let’s head inside”.
Let’s enter this place.
Pick “Enter indoors”.
Go for some additional chat, take the second option.
Return to our headquarters.
As you make your way to the Command Room, you’ll encounter Eilie and Pilika along the way.
Later, proceed to the Command Room for an interesting sequence. The next War Battle begins following this scene.
Upon a few encounters, Ridley and his band of Kobolds will beat a hasty retreat. In the wake of their departure, it’s advisable to steer clear of skirmishes, keep yourself in tip-top health condition, and sooner or later, Shu will give the order for us to withdraw.
Following the skirmish, make your way to your quarters for a moment of reflection. After a peaceful rest, return to the command center in the morning. Prior to initiating the battle, confer with Apple to adjust your teams’ arrangements.
Initially, opt for a defensive strategy.
Once additional troops come in, aim to eliminate as numerous enemy units as feasible, excluding those belonging to Kiba. Over time, the Highlanders shall withdraw, leading to your victory.
1. At the base of operations, both Kiba (66/108) and Klaus (67/108) will enlist in the army. Feel free to explore Richmond’s investigations into Kiba, Ridley, and Nanami if you wish, as you won’t be able to do so later.
2. Proceed to the castle’s entrance for a significant event.
3. Head to the command room for another scene. Opt for “Let’s form an alliance.”
4. Assemble your team, ensuring Clive is part of it.

Ascend a ladder, descend three ladders, then ascend the one to your right and continue to the next area.
On this screen, as you start heading east, look south through the trees for a hidden passage. This leads to the concealed ninja village of Rokkaku, but you’ll be asked to leave for now.
Keep going east until you reach the save point. Head north for Silver Shield. After saving, head south from the save point for Silverlets.
Then Save your game, go east for a boss battle.

Banner Village
There’s a scene here, and you’ll automatically be taken by to HQ
Before we proceed to the command center, let’s take a moment for some new team members. Assemble your group, but ensure Mukumuku and Nanami are part of it. Also, don’t forget to grab at least one Sound Set from your storage, preferably Sound Set #1. Let’s set off now towards Matilda’s Path, which is known as the Forest Path (Greenhill-Matilda) on Viki.
Follow this route: Speak with Badeaux. He’ll accompany you if you have Mukumuku (or Shiro) with you (76/108). You’ll also acquire two Listening Orb as key items. Next, make your way to Forest Village. To get there, use the Blinking Mirror on the World Map to return to HQ, then converse with Viki to teleport.
1. Visit the inn located atop the Forest Village, where Connell resides. Request him to join your party, but ensure you have a Sound Set first. You might need to talk to him twice.
2. Journey towards the north from the Trading Post for an upcoming scene. Opt for “Save her” when given the chance. This triggers an event battle.
3. Following the battle, employ a Listening Orb. Feather the Griffin will join your team (78/108). Later on, Ayda will also join (79/108).
4. Step inside the Trading Post and swiftly make an exit. Head northward and engage with the man who owns a Lamb. Acquire it for 4000 Potch.
5. Your business in Forest Village is complete. Proceed to Kobola Village next.
Journey deep into the heart of the Unicorn Woods until you reach a crossroads. If Nanami or Tengaar is with you, opt to “Agree” when given the chance. This will summon Siegfried the Unicorn as an ally (80/108). Next, make your way to the Kobold settlement within New River’s outskirts.
Speak with Bob in the Kobold District. If you possess 80 Stars of Destiny (which your inventory should contain exactly 80), he’ll become a member of your group (he’ll join at level 81/108). For the second option, choosing option 1 will make him join your party instantly, whereas choosing option 2 will send him to headquarters. In simpler terms, you can find Bob in the Kobold District, and if you have the required number of Stars of Destiny, he’ll either immediately join your party or be sent to headquarters depending on your choice.
Lakewest
Pick up the Chick on the beach. (a real chick …)
At any convenient moment, but now could be ideal, Mukumuku has four companions waiting to join your adventure. They will automatically join your party from the World Map without any need for recruitment on your part, provided you are in the right locations. The order is crucial, as each friend can be found in distinct regions of the world.
It’s important to note that these characters are not Stars of Destiny, but they do play a significant role. When you stand in the spots specified below, there’s a chance one of your companions will join your party without any fighting required. It appears that Riou has better chances of being recruited when he’s traveling alone. Each recruitment took me approximately 5 minutes.
Here are the locations where you can find Mukumuku’s friends:
– Makumaku on the road between Two River and Greenhill
– Mikumiku on the road between Greenhill and Forest Village
– Mekumeku on the road between Greenhill and Path the Matilda
– Mokumoku in the clearing south of Forest Village.
After this, set your party and head to the command room.

Check out the action in the command center.

Flik and Nina up on the rooftop.
Mystery to be discovered.
Time for some shut-eye.
In the morning, catch up with Nanami, then make your way to the 2nd floor Command Room for a new war engagement.
Instead of saying “War Battle – The Battle to Rescue Ridley,” you could phrase it as: “Ridley’s Rescue Mission – A Battle for Survival.” This way, it communicates the same idea in a more engaging and easier-to-understand manner.
Following the fight, make your way to your upper-level quarters and prepare for an intriguing event, with Tsai joining your group as you set off towards Ryube.
Exit the Ryube Forest and proceed to Tsai’s residence. Following the sequence of events, Tomo will catch up with you (82/108). Alternatively, return to base camp after leaving the Ryube Forest.

6. The boss you’ll face is Worm or Poison Moth. You shouldn’t lose this battle, as Tir and Riou will defeat him if you do.
7. Journey to Gregminster, then depart from the palace for additional scenes. After dinner, prepare to leave the McDohl household.
8. While speaking with Cleo, choose any options that come up. When possible, head towards the castle.

1. Upon entering, you come across a scene straight away. Opt for “I agree to your promise.” and Max will be there (83/108)
2. For another scene, make your way to the Inn. Follow Annalee to the right side of City Hall for yet another scene. Select either option initially, then choose “Sure… Let’s listen.”
3. Once she finishes singing, pick “I’d really enjoy hearing more of your songs.”. Annallee will join you now (84/108)

Or for a more colloquial version:
Swing by the local watering hole and catch up with Hoi. Take whichever path the conversation leads. By the end, Hoi will tag along (86/108).
Head to the inn, save your progress first, then have a chat with Karen. Select “I’d love to join you.”, followed by “That’s not correct.” Then pick any of the remaining options and finally, “Alright, you’re in!” To win the dance minigame, follow this sequence: up, left, right, down, up, down, right, left. (87/108)
Repeat the following sequence twice:
– Dance to the rhythm of this minigame: Up, left, right, down, up, down, right, left (Use the right face buttons for each step)
– Then repeat the sequence again.

Head west of the Blacksmith for a scene. Follow the men for a scene. Head back to HQ.
Navigate towards the command center. Select “I’m setting sail for Muse.”
Teresa will join your team, and Chaco will be drafted into your combat squad. Choose your remaining three companions.
Once you’re booted onto the world map, sail your boat towards Coronet to the north.
Coronet
See the scene with the soldiers and pass through.
Head to Muse
In Muse, navigate to the gathering spot on the northwest part of the town initially.
For the first decision, consider opting for either option.
For the second decision, if you prefer the first option, select it three times, or choose the second option once – both lead to the same result.
Once you begin to dash off, make your selection for the third choice from the available options.
As you flee the town, you’ll encounter Highlanders as adversaries.
Finally, following a series of events, you’ll find yourself back at base.
1. Visit Shu near the stone monument.
2. Interact with Nanami in your private quarters.
3. Exit the castle for a meeting with Koyu. Affirm his words by saying “You’re absolutely right” and then “I’m definitely up for it.”
4. Invite Nanami to accompany you, and let’s bring Wakaba as a potential recruit. We require another Window Set for this purpose. You might have one from the tigers in Banner Pass, but if not, don’t fret; there’ll be Window Set #5 hidden inside a chest, so no need to stress about missing out on the rare drop.
5. Transport yourself to Kobold Village and then move towards Drakemouth Village, which lies to the southwest.
Step into the scene at Drakemouth for a moment. Make your way north and chat with the man wearing a hat, where you can purchase a Calf for 6000 Potch. Then, venture towards the eastern house using the side entrance, which is marked by a stone pathway. Inside, inspect the crate next to the bag to find Cabbage Seeds. Lastly, speak to the guard in the northwest corner of town before setting off on Drakemouth Path.
Along Drakemouth Path, air lizards will deposit Window Set #2 which is essential for an upcoming enlistment. Follow the path as Koyu advises at the first junction.
At the second intersection, veer right towards Master Robe’s location and then continue on the other branch to reach a particular scene.
Return to the initial fork, then proceed westward to Tigermouth Village.
Upon entering, you’ll find a brief moment of action.
Travel southward and grab the baby chicken that appears.
Speak with the man wearing a brown shirt for some Tomato Seedling.
Proceed into the house located to the south and inspect the bookshelf for Old Book Vol.8.
Exit to the west onto the World Map, then travel westward to reach Crom Village.
As I stand here, with Wakaba by my side, we make our way to the local Inn. It’s where I run into Long Chan-chan, her master. If you’re keen, follow me around back to the Item Shop. That’s where our conversation takes place. With a smile, he decides to join forces with us (88/108).
Next up, we need to visit the house located in the NE part of Crom Village. There, you’ll find Tenkou inside. I’ve got a Window Set tucked away, but I won’t ask for payment this time. Instead, I hand it over to him with no charge attached. This act persuades him to join our group (89/108). Note that we haven’t actually given the set to him yet, but he needs one in his possession to do so.
With that settled, let’s move on to Tinto. We head northeast from here and discover a new adventure awaiting us!
1. The local blacksmith can hone weapons up to level 13.
2. The armory has fresh inventory; special items might include Taikyoku Armor or Wind Hats.
3. Look for a power ring near the minecart situated close to the Armory entrance.
4. There are two houses southeast of the Armory. The man in the left one offers Unicorn Blueprints #3, while the right one provides Dragon Blueprints #3.
5. Ascend from the blacksmith and engage the red-haired woman. If she asks about Jeane, inform her that she’s at our castle. This will result in Raura joining (90/108).
6. Speak to the man standing before the door for a sequence of events. Enter the building for another scene. Select “Let’s fight together.”
7. When interacting with Marlowe, opt for either response. Proceed to your room and pick “Agreed.”
8. In the morning, revisit Gustav’s room for a conversation. Then make your way to the town entrance to meet Neclord. After Neclord departs, return to Gustav’s room for another discussion.
9. Upon Jess’ unexpected arrival, choose either response. Move a short distance south for another interaction with Jess.
10. Save your game.
11. Return to Gustav’s room and opt for “You’re correct.”
12. At nightfall, converse with Lilly in the corridor. Then retire to bed.
13. After retiring to bed, Leknaat will appear for a scene. Subsequently, visit Nanami’s room on the right and converse with her.
14. IMPORTANT: When Nanami requests you to cease fighting, respond with “They require me.” followed by “I apologize.” If you select different options, you may flee, which could lead to a slightly altered storyline or an undesirable ending.
15. Head back to Gustav’s room and then the town entrance once more.
16. Upon gaining control, exit and walk east towards the mine for a sequence of events. Squeeze past the miners on the left side to enter.
Take the straight route. Once you come to a junction, go northward.
You will engage Neclord, but you won’t emerge victorious. Instead, stand your ground until the fight concludes.
Rest and recover, then depart from the mine.
Subsequently, you’ll be transported to Crom Village following some sequences.
In the morning, make your way downstairs and chat with Leona. If you don’t have Tir at this moment, you won’t be able to include him in your group. Then, venture towards Crom where you’ll meet Kahn again. You can decide whether to add him to your combat team or your convoy by traveling south. After that, journey to Tigermouth.
During your interaction with Sierra, opt for the phrase “Let’s proceed.” Instead. This confrontation is less about battling a boss and more like an event fight. Following this encounter, Sierra will temporarily become part of your group. Afterwards, return to Crom.
In Crom, make your way to the northernmost dwelling for a scene. If you wish, chat with Sierra and Kahn under the cover of night for some backstory. Then, retire for the night. The following day, descend the stairs for another scene. You’ll need to reorganize your group, ensuring that either Sierra or Kahn are part of your battle party or convoy. Proceed to Tinto Mine from the world map.
Initially, proceed east from the starting point to reach the next location. The following screen offers a single, straight path with an exit at its end. After this, take the right turn for Dancing Flames, then swiftly veer left. Continue along the path; you’ll encounter chests containing Full Helmet and Stone of Magic Protection.
Proceed on the linear path to discover Master’s Garb. Keep moving forward along the straight path until you pass beneath a bridge, then head north again to cross another bridge for Window Set #5 and Old Book Vol. 9.
Continue in a northeasterly direction. In the room where autosaves occur, move south to collect Silver Collar, and east to find Mega Medicine. Return to the entrance of this room and head east again. Descend the eastern slope twice, then go south and slide down a third slope for Double-Edged Orb.
Approach the man here named Mazus; he won’t join your party yet. Head northeast towards the save point. Take the north path to obtain Star Earrings, the southeastern path from the save point to get Wind Hat, and then continue southward from the save point.
Later, you will encounter a fork in the path. Move a crate as if it were a bridge between the northern ledges. Leave this area to the west and follow the linear path until you battle a boss: Stone Golem, which is weak against lightning. After defeating the boss, continue along the path for multiple screens before reaching an area where Neclord previously attacked Riou and Nanami. Beyond that point, take the east path for Cape of Darkness.
After returning to Tinto, head west for a battle event. Continue west beyond the Guild Hall for another fight.
Head northward to witness a scene. Enter the location and prepare for a clash against Neclord.
Boss: Neclord
Return to the town’s entrance for another scene. Select one of the following responses:
– “I no longer wish to run away.”
– “Let’s fight side by side.”
– “I won’t betray anyone.”
Return to Gustav in his building, and he will reward you with Mother Earth Orb.
Travel to the Elder’s house in Crom, located in the far northeast part of the city, to obtain the Sunbeam Orb.
After all this, the following people have joined your army:
Hauser is at the 91st position out of 108 participants.
Sierra is at the 92nd position out of 108 participants.
Jess is at the 93rd position out of 108 participants.
Gijimu is at the 94th position out of 108 participants.
Lo Wen is at the 95th position out of 108 participants.
Koyu is at the 96th position out of 108 participants.
Marlowe is at the 97th position out of 108 participants.
Kahn is at the 98th position out of 108 participants.
Follow the eastern route until you reach a fork, then opt for the lower pathway. Engage in conversation with Georg there. Select one of the options presented. Once that’s done, invite him along (approximately 99% or 108% progress). So, I’m heading to South Window via the eastern route, chatting with Georg and asking him to tag along!
As a devoted admirer, I’m reaching out to you, inviting the esteemed Gansetsu to join my team. It seems our collective strength is just what he needs to take the leap. If, by chance, he’s not ready yet, perhaps it would be beneficial to present him with some of my more formidable companions (100/108).
1. Proceed to your room where Sheena departs temporarily, and it becomes nighttime. Observe a scene between party members to progress further. Earlier interaction with Nanami may lead to different scenes, such as meeting Boris instead of Ridley’s Star of Destiny.
2. After spending the night, return to your room when ready. An assassin will attack you, but you should easily defeat them. Choose any option afterward since the outcome remains the same.
3. Head back to the command room and make a decision that affects the next war battle slightly. If you choose Viktor’s unit, engage in a battle at the Muse-Greenhill border. If you select General Kiba, fight at Greenhill. Choosing to wait in your command room means no war battle will occur but you’ll command troops remotely.
4. Since waiting in the command room is quicker and safer for a Star of Destiny, I recommend this option. Wait patiently in the command room as reports come in during battles. Whenever receiving reports, always select the top option.
5. Regain control in Greenhill where Shin requests to join your group. Accept his offer by choosing “Sure.” You can place him in your convoy if you prefer not to use him in battle.
6. Select the rest of your party, ensuring Nanami is included since she needs leveling up later on. Create Shredding Scrolls for future battles.
In Greenhill Forest, the Doremi Elf (of any color) may dispense Recipe #34. Along the way, you’ll encounter some battles with Highlanders.
Travel north on the path to find Winged Boots, and a bit further for Dream Robe, which is beneficial for Nanami. Continue north for the Stone of Skill.
Keep following the path until you meet Lucia and some Karayanas for an event fight. Use your most powerful magic here, as you’ll have a chance to rest before the next boss. Lucia will reward you with a Blug Gate Ord upon defeat.
After the battle, head west and then south to reach Teresa’s hideout. There’s nothing to do there, so continue on your journey.
Upon entering the academy, make your way to the front and exit through the entrance.
In front of the academy, speak with the student to heal and the soldier to save.
Head south, engaging in a few more battles with Highlanders. At the Greenhill entrance, you’ll find Yuber who will summon a Bone Dragon. This boss is weak against wind, so use all your Shredding Scrolls and Cyclone Orb’s Shining Wind here.
After defeating the boss, several scenes will unfold.
1. If asked to pick a location, consider saying “Give me a moment to decide.”
2. To assemble your team, invite Viktor and Simone.
3. Ensure you carry an Escape Charm with you.
4. Direct yourself towards Kuskus.
Visit the blacksmith and interact with Tessei. As long as Viktor accompanies you, he’ll propose joining (101/108). This action should upgrade your Headquarters to Level 4. A way to verify this is by going to the baths and checking if the Jungle Bath option is accessible. If it is, then your Headquarters has reached level 4. Don’t forget to swing by Greenhill.
As a gamer, here’s how I might rephrase it:
“Swing by Greenhill’s Item Shop’s Rare Finds now that it’s been freed up – you’ll discover Window Set #6 and Rabbit Plans #4 there.
Next, drop by the Inn and have a chat with Pico near the door. Ask him if he mentioned ‘Annallee’, and voila, Pico will join your team (102/108).
Head north to Greenhill’s academy area. Interact with the Piglet above the dorms to grab one.
Next, pop into the Dorm and chat up the man there for Old Book Vol. 10.
Then, make your way into the academy again and speak to the Rune Class instructor for a Rage Orb – it’s an enhanced version of the Fire Orb.
Lastly, visit the Blacksmith class and talk to the boy on the right for Silver Hammer.
And don’t forget to check in with Jude in the Blacksmith Class. He seems to be in need of some clay.
Kindly ask Tessai to take possession of all your hammers – copper, iron, and silver ones. With these tools, he’ll be able to enhance weapons up to level 15, just short of the maximum capacity.
Visit the girl residing above the inn for Sound Set #7.
Proceed north beyond the marketplace, then turn right. Speak with the man there to acquire Clay.
Greenhill
Return to Jude in the Blacksmith class and he’ll join (103/108)
Greenhill area on World Map
Get Spinach Seedling from Eye Flower.
At the Main Office, you can hand over Jude your blueprints for creating statues. At this stage, you could have either all Rabbit blueprints or all Turtle blueprints (or a mix). Feel free to construct whatever you desire! You’ll earn an achievement and possibly receive a bonus item as a reward.
Turtle, Turtle, Dragon, Unicorn, Friendship Orb Weapon Rune. However, remember, you can only select one combination from the available options.
Tinto
Talk to Alberto in the Armory. He’ll join (104/108).
Step into Tinto Mine from the global map.
Navigate through the Save Room and Slide Area, it’s quite a distance but the path is clear. Interact with Mazus there, and he will accompany you (you’re currently at 105/108 progress).
Use an Escape Charm to depart.
Head over to the spot where you previously dropped off Simone, on the left bank of the river. Vincent will be there, ready to tag along, provided that Simone is with you. (106/108)
Journey to the terminal part of the Wind Cave. It’s a prolonged trek, though easy to navigate. Prepare yourself for another stone-pushing conundrum along the way.
Upon reaching the end, you’ll encounter Pesmerga who will decide to accompany you. (107/108)
You won’t need the Escape Talisman in this location, and there’s no need for a closing statement.
Ensure that one of your characters possesses a weapon level of at least 14. Pesmerga’s initial level is 14 (it might be 16 if you transferred Suikoden 1 data).
Head over to Coronet. You can get there by teleporting to Lakewest, hopping onto a boat, and sailing northward to the city on the lake’s edge.
Speak with Genshu at the docks. Exhibit your weapon for him. He will then join your party (108/108).
Double-check your stone tablet to ensure you haven’t overlooked anyone.
1. When prepared, click ‘Save’, then proceed to the command center and interact with Apple for a sequence of events.
2. After gaining control, depart from the dormitories for an upcoming scene. Traverse the academy until you reach the hidden passageway, where you’ll encounter Jowy. The decision you make here will not have any significant impact.
3. Return to the dorms for another series of events. Opt for “Good, let’s move forward.”
In this scenario, instead of charging forward immediately, it’s advisable to wait for the Karayans to approach. Following a three-turn withdrawal by the Highlanders, you will be left with only four squads to overcome. Alternatively, you can conclude the battle by having one of your units enter Muse City. Ensure the safety of all your characters throughout the fight.
You’ll have an opportunity to adjust your team right here. Make your journey towards the city, which lies directly north. The boss you’re about to face is Golden Wolf, who’s relatively easy at this stage of the game. Focus on using physical attacks against him. Once that’s done, we’ll move on to another scene in Muse.
Base of Operations: Rest and prepare if you aim to achieve the game’s true ending, which requires collecting all 108 Stars of Destiny at this stage. Investigate with Kiba and Nanami. Visit Shus’ room on the fourth floor for a conversation between Kiba and Shu; be sure to speak with him when given the chance. Choose “We will fight.”
In the ensuing scene, Leknaat will appear, signaling that all 108 Stars of Destiny are present and activating the final ability of the Bright Shield Rune – Sign of Forgiveness.
Wake up in the morning, ensuring Nanami is at a high level (ideally around level 50, with further opportunities to level her up soon) and equipped with the best items you can purchase (Silver Hat, Magic Robe, three Cape of Darkness). Remove any unique equipment and runes from her and her weapon. As she will no longer be playable, focus on enhancing her defense for an upcoming event.
Assemble your battle party, including Nanami. Save your game, then proceed to the command room for a scene. Select “We’re ready to move out.
In three rounds, the fight against Matilda will conclude. So, hold your ground and avoid casualties if possible. It’s alright if a couple of units retreat, just ensure they signal for withdrawal. Once the battle is over, propose that Nanami become part of the operation. Then choose “I’m all set. Let’s proceed.
1. In this area, you’ll witness various scenes, one of which involves Kiba sustaining a fatal injury. Feel free to leave Rockaxe and return to HQ whenever you wish.
2. The Highland Solder (bow) might drop Recipe #36, the final recipe. You can now deliver these items to Hai Yo.
3. After the ladder, take the east path initially to reach Escape Talisman, then proceed west.
4. At the door/ladder fork, enter through the door first for Deep Crimson Cape and Stone of Protection. Then descend the ladder.
5. At the east-or-south junction, choose the east route.
6. At the second door-ladder intersection, proceed through the door.
7. At the ladder-east intersection, go east first for Earth Shield, then continue down the ladder.
8. At the bottom of this ladder, head south and then east to acquire Power Gloves.
9. Exiting outside, enter the main castle door.
10. Proceed all the way north and then west to find Flame Helmet.
11. Enter the two rooms beneath you for Gold Collar and Mega Medicine.
12. Leave these rooms in a southerly direction and continue on your journey. You’ll engage in an event battle with Matilda Knights.
13. At the fork atop the stairs, take the east path and then south, disregarding the stairs. Collect Dragon Plans #4 and Unicorn Plans #4 from there. Then ascend the stairs you previously ignored.
14. SAVE AT THE SAVE POINT HERE. Soon, you’ll need to make crucial decisions that will impact the ending you receive.
15. Leave the area and prepare for an event battle with the knights.
16. Enter the adjacent door and approach the stairs for a scene.
17. Accompany Riou and Nanami inside the door for a scene.
18. Be alert, as you have three dialogue choices coming up. The first two are inconsequential, but the third one requires a quick response. Essentially, after the second dialogue choice, rapidly confirm your action to ensure a swift selection of the top option in the third dialogue choice.
19. If done correctly, Riou will unsheathe his weapons, Nanami will block three arrows but be struck by a fourth. You’ll then fight Gorudo.
20. Boss; Gorudo – This is essentially an event battle, and he’ll drop Knight Armor.
21. Nanami will recover. Watch the scenes that unfold.
In the main base, spend some time chatting with your teammates. Later on, Dr. Huan will emerge from his office. He’ll express his skills weren’t enough, but then ask Shu to join him in a private conversation. If this occurs, you are moving towards the True Ending. The next day, gather your squad, including CLive, and set out for Muse.
1. Clive’s journey will continue here, following events in Radat from a while back. Make your way up Jowston Hill towards the northwest, and you’ll encounter Elza.
2. Recipe #35 can be found in the Item Shop’s Special Items section.
3. Speak with the clerk at the Armory to obtain Silver Dragon Armor.
4. Visit the Rune Shop on the upper floor and converse with the mysterious figure wearing a cloak for Flowing Orb.
5. Chat with the man relaxing in the Tavern for Old Book Vol. 12.
The village situated along the highway lies to the east of Rockaxe. Speak with the lad standing near the inn and purchase his Calf at a cost of 5000 Potch.
Visit the Shops of Items and Equipment to acquire some new gear. Delve into their basements to find the Old Book Vol. 11, which is the last one available. Then, make your way back to where Nanami fell, engage with the nearby NPC for a Thunder Orb (an upgraded Lightning Orb). Continue onward to collect the Earth Armor from a chest and Recipe #37 from the shelves. Regrettably, you’ll have to return via a longer route.
1. In the main office, interact with Shu in the control room when you’re ready. Begin by saying something like “Alright then.” Then choose “Very well…”
2. Step out of the hall for a sequence of events.
3. After all these events, find Shu on the fourth floor to engage in another sequence.
4. Retire to your bedroom for rest and carry on later.
5. In the morning, make your way to the control room again. Reply with “Got it.”
6. Observe the series of events unfold. There will be a simulated battle, but you can only watch it play out.
7. More sequences ensue.
Speak with Apple to adjust your team’s positions
ADJUST POSITIONS
First, save your progress and exit, then come back to the Muse-Highland Checkpoint to do so.
The Conquest of L’Renouille
You can win if you enter the city with any units.
Following the battle, head northwest towards L’Renouille, gather a group consisting of Clive, and depart from there.
If Clive is with you, and if the Event Timer shows less than 20 hours remaining, then you’ll get a chance to watch the final scene of Clive’s Story. Apart from that, there are some intriguing items in the Shop worth checking out. The Item Shop offers the Golden Hammer, Windspun Armor, Lamb, and Horned Helmet as Rare Finds. However, I recommend you focus on obtaining the Golden Hammer.
Now’s a good time to finish the Cook Offs.
Travel north to confront Lucia in battle. After the fight, heal yourself and make your way back.
From Lucia, journey east then north to engage in an event battle with Highlander Soldiers. Proceed west and south to obtain Fog Robe. Then, head north again for Bolt of Wrath. Return to the Highlanders and continue north for another skirmish. Take on another fight with the Highlanders further south.
Follow the path west from there until you reach a fork in the road. Go slightly east (and slightly north) at the fork to acquire Fury Orb.
Return to the fork, but avoid going south this time. Instead, retrace your steps back to where you fought the Highlanders on a red carpet. Enter through the double doors and be prepared for a scene. Choose either option that is presented to you.
Duel: Han Cunningham
As a gamer,
1. Keep moving forward until you reach a crossroads. Go west to confront the Highlanders. Follow the path further for the Wind Amulet and Champion’s Orb. Return to the fork and head north.
2. Climb the stairs and continue north to find the Stone of Power, Stone of Protection. Retrace your steps back to the four-way intersection after Hans Cunningham.
3. Head south for a Highlander battle. Then go west, then north again. Enter through the left door for another Highlander fight.
4. At the next crossroads, move north.
5. Reach the top of the stairs and continue north to face more Highlanders. Once the battle is over, head west.
6. Follow the path until you exit and prepare for another event fight outside.
7. After defeating the event, re-enter the building, go east for another event battle. Continue along the path for yet another event battle (the doors are locked).
8. You’ll come across a carpeted hallway and an autosave. Pick up the Escape Talisman in the right room. Head south and grab Goldlets outside, then return north at the fork.
9. Gather Window Set #7 on your journey, continue south.
10. At the next crossroads, head north.
11. Save at the save point before approaching the boss. Choose either option against Culgan and Seed (Seed is weak to Lightning attacks). Make sure you have a strong party setup by this point.
12. Defeat the boss, then make your choice. Watch the scenes that follow.
13. Proceed north for more scenes.
14. Final Boss: Beast Rune
15. In the concluding scenes, choose an option. Riou will escape the castle.
1. Relocate to the main base to witness a scene featuring Flik and Viktor by the stone table.
2. Proceed to the command center for a scene. To continue with the regular ending, select “I understand”. For the True Ending, choose “I can’t comply.”
3. Instantly transfer to Kyaro. If you prefer the standard finale, pick “I’m on board”. To experience the True Ending, go with “I refuse.”
Travel northwards towards Tenzen Pass from your current location for an interesting scene, along with the chance to obtain a Hunter Rune, Trio Painting, and 30 Potch.
At the crossroads, take the western route. The initial conversation can be anything.
During combat, opt for Defend at all times.
Post-battle, you can select any response initially, but subsequently, choose “I’m unable to do that.”
Again, during combat, stick with Defend.
After the fight, pick a choice first, then repeatedly choose “I cannot comply.”
If you’ve exhausted all choices for the favorable conclusion, Leknaat will materialize.
Lastly, proceed on the path to encounter an unexpected finale.
These Recipes include Recipe #12, Recipe #21, Recipe #29, Recipe #34, and Recipe #36.
