Streamers react to Jack Doherty McLaren crash: Adin Ross, NICKMERCS, more

As a long-time follower of the streaming world, I must say that the recent incident involving Jack Doherty has left me utterly dismayed and appalled. His reckless behavior behind the wheel of his McLaren, while distracted by his phone and live chat, is nothing short of irresponsible and dangerous. The fact that he continued to stream the aftermath, even handing the camera to his injured cameraman, shows an alarming lack of empathy and understanding for the potential consequences of his actions.

I, Jack Doherty, have found myself in hot water with some big-name streamers after being permanently banned from Kick due to endangerment. The reason? I live-streamed myself causing an accident with my McLaren while using my phone on the road.

On October 5, the Kick streamer was broadcasting live as he operated his phone to engage with his chat room, all while driving his McLaren on a slick road. A short time later, Doherty unfortunately lost control over the vehicle, causing it to collide with a guardrail and severely damage the front of his luxury car. His cameraman sustained injuries as a result.

The surprising event resulted in a lifelong exclusion from Kick, causing an uproar within the streaming community as numerous significant content creators have expressed their disapproval towards him.

Doherty faced criticism for careless driving, using his phone during the act, and broadcasting the event live. Notably, he handed the camera over to his injured cameraman and instructed him to carry on recording just moments later.

100 Thieves leader and Twitch streamer Nadeshot called for action, saying, “This individual should be imprisoned. Frankly, I was shocked after watching the entire video. Although I’m not a supporter of cancel culture, this kid needs to lose monetization on every platform.

This individual appears to warrant imprisonment, as I was utterly shocked after watching the entire video. While I’m not an advocate for cancel culture, it seems appropriate that he faces consequences on all platforms, starting with a ban from monetization at the very least.

On his live stream, Adin Ross criticized Doherty after watching a viral video, voicing his displeasure over the way Doherty’s camera operator was handled.

Initially, I was deeply troubled when his cameraman got hurt. In the heat of the moment, he inadvertently pointed the camera towards the injured cameraman and demanded, “Capture different angles.” Later, Ross stated, “Please locate that cameraman for me and inform him that I will ensure things are rectified.

In simpler terms, the part-owner of Kick stated to Doherty, “To lift your ban from Kick, you need to provide me with $300,000 cash immediately. Otherwise, your suspension will be permanent.

Adin Ross is asking for a payment of $300,000 from Jack Doherty as a condition to lift the ban he imposed, following their disagreement and Doherty’s unfavorable comments about Ross prior to his car accident while streaming. πŸš—πŸ‘€

In a response via his Twitter or X account, NICKMERCS, who had previously criticized Doherty for producing “terrible” content, made a comment saying, “If there was an Olympics for unremarkable individuals, this person would be the Michael Phelps of them.” The streamer was referring to Doherty.

If there was an Olympics for garbage humans, this little dumbass would be Michael Phelps.

As a dedicated fan, I shared Jack Doherty’s recent update, showcasing his cameraman, Michael, receiving stitches at the hospital after the crash. Michael expressed feeling “amazing” amidst it all. Yet, the comments section filled with viewers expressing concerns and criticism towards Jack as a Kick streamer.

This still don’t feel real😭

This is known as the concept of ‘Karma’, it means that the harmful actions you’ve inflicted upon others are likely to be returned to you.

“This child is considered the greatest disappointment of this century. I can’t stand this reckless individual who endangers others for mere views. Such a waste of potential.

Jack Doherty frequently faces criticism over his content, like in August when he drew condemnation for hitting baseballs from the top of a tall building, with viewers describing it as “distasteful” and “risky.
