Okay, so this is crazy. That streamer Kelton_g just got banned from Kick because videos are circulating of him, like, *shoving* a guy on the subway in Japan. Honestly, it’s messed up, but he’s actually trying to say he did nothing wrong and is defending what happened. I’ve seen the clips, and it doesn’t look good at all.
Japan has long been a popular place for content creators, but recently it’s faced a number of controversies.
Several streamers have caused problems in the country, most notably Johnny Somali, who was arrested due to his disruptive behavior.
In September, Kelton_g was riding the subway and sat in a seat reserved for those who need it most, which led to a confrontation with an elderly Japanese man.

Videos circulating on X and Reddit show Kelton pushing a man on a train before taking a seat. The videos quickly went viral, gaining millions of views and prompting many people to call for his removal from Japan.
Kelton addressed the criticism by sharing the complete video of the event, providing a more detailed look at what happened.

Kelton shared a video on Instagram explaining that although his actions weren’t ideal, he was acting to protect himself.
He stated he only acted to protect himself from ongoing harassment and intimidation.
We both messed up. He was rude and attempted to strike me repeatedly, and I pushed him in response. I want to be clear that I was acting in self-defense and didn’t intend to cause any harm.

In the complete video, the man makes physical contact with Kelton, touching his face a few times, before Kelton responds.
After all that happened, I put up a quick story on Instagram. It showed me with the police, and thankfully they were all smiles! I explained what went down, and they totally got it – they understood I wasn’t the one who started the trouble, I was just protecting myself.
Even with this explanation, the streamer hasn’t been reinstated on Kick, and the length of his ban remains unknown.
This recent conflict follows growing frustration among Japanese citizens with foreign streamers visiting the country. Earlier this year, some people even made a list of streamers they considered disruptive.
