Streamer struck by lightning in shocking Twitch broadcast

A live-streamer on Twitch reported being hit by a bolt of lightning during his broadcast, astonishing viewers and sparking worries about his wellbeing.

On July 19th, while Chrispymate was live-streaming on Twitch, there was a report of a powerful bolt of lightning striking close to his residence. This sudden event is said to have transmitted an electric surge into his headphones.

At that instant, the scene unfolded real-time with the room brightening, the sound cutting off, and the streamer abruptly dashing out of sight. Soon afterward, he reappeared, gripping his chest tightly and clearly distressed.

He informed his audience, “I’ll be ending the live broadcast now.” Suddenly, a massive bolt of lightning struck, and he could feel it coursing through his earphones. “Oh my goodness, that was terrifying!” he exclaimed.

“My heart is pounding now. My f**king head hurts. I’m not dead, so it’s fine.”

When a commentator advised that lightning strikes might lead to abnormal heartbeats and recommended an immediate hospital visit, the broadcaster replied, “I didn’t actually go to the ER. Instead, I had an exceptionally good night’s sleep the following day, which is unusual for me. However, I might just drop by the hospital for a quick checkup to put my mind at ease.

On numerous occasions, I’ve found myself in situations where a lightning bolt seems to have targeted my devices rather than me directly. It feels like an uncanny dance between nature and technology.
