Streamer arrested for armed burglary after breaking into condo during Hurricane Milton

As a seasoned viewer of Kick streamers, I must say this latest turn of events has left me rather dumbfounded. The audacity of Shoovy to break into an abandoned condo during Hurricane Milton, all in the name of chasing a $70k prize, is nothing short of baffling. It’s one thing to risk your own life for a bit of online fame, but breaking the law and endangering others? That’s a whole new level of recklessness.

Streamer ‘Shoovy’ was taken into custody on charges of armed break-in and obstructing an officer, following his entry into a condominium complex during Hurricane Milton.

Hurricane Milton is coming ashore along the west coast of Florida, with many individuals gaining attention online as they post videos and photos following their choice to stay put instead of evacuating the region.

Social media sensation Lieutenant Dan resides on a 20-foot-long sailboat stationed directly within Tampa Bay as one of his chosen dwellings.

Before the hurricane hit Florida, live streamer Shoovy journeyed to that region; however, his trip didn’t unfold exactly as he had hoped.

After breaking into an abandoned condo, Shoovy was arrested by local police and banned on Kick.

Yesterday’s announcement follows Adin Ross, part-owner of Kick, expressing his intention to reward someone with $70,000 for streaming live from a location impacted by Hurricane Milton in person.

Due to the removal of the VOD stream, we were unable to verify if Shoovy’s presence in the area was intentional as claimed by various social media users.

One clip shows the streamer driving into a rainy area, claiming he drove “all day” to get to Sarasota from his home in Virginia.

Streamer ‘Shoovy’ travelled for hours to reach Florida, where he planned to broadcast the real-life streaming of Hurricane Milton. This might be his final stream or a record-breaking one; he is determined to win the $70k prize from Adin Ross.

Another Kick streamer in the region isn’t the sole contender for Adin’s $70,000 prize; at present, Mike Smalls is live streaming from a floating air mattress amidst the storm.

Mike’s not new to streaming during hurricanes. Back on September 27th, he gained widespread attention online when he came close to meeting his match while live-streaming from a beach tent during Hurricane Helene.
