‘Stranger Things 5’ Premiere Date Announcement Breaks Netflix Records With 250 Million Impressions (EXCLUSIVE)

Stranger Things 5” is still months away, but it’s already breaking records for Netflix.

In a span of only four days since its release on May 31, the announcement video regarding the new show’s premiere has garnered an astounding 250 million views across all Netflix platforms. According to Netflix, this number surpasses any previous impression count for similar announcements within the same timeframe in their platform’s history. You can watch the video below.

At Netflix’s yearly Tudum event, held live at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles, it was announced when the fifth and last season of the highly successful series would be released. As previously mentioned, this final season will come out in three installments: the initial four episodes will become available on November 26; following these, another three episodes will be released on December 25; and finally, the concluding episode will air on December 31.

The official synopsis for Season 5 states:

1987’s autumn. Hawkins is marred by the emergence of the Rifts, and our protagonists are bound by a common objective: locate and eliminate Vecna. However, he has disappeared, leaving his location and intentions unclear. Making their task more challenging, the town is under military lockdown and intensified its pursuit of Eleven, forcing her to go into hiding again. As Will’s disappearance anniversary draws near, so does a heavy, familiar sense of dread. The final confrontation is approaching — and with it, a darkness stronger and deadlier than anything they’ve encountered before. To put an end to this nightmare, they’ll need the entire group — their full team — united one last time.
