Sterling K. Brown will soon narrate a documentary celebrating the history of African-American coaches in the National Football League (NFL). This was revealed by Tarana Harris Mayes, the director and producer, during SXSW on March 8, about the project titled “Better Than They Found It: Black Coaches Who Influenced the Contemporary NFL.
The document was unveiled during the “Women Behind the Camera in Sports” panel discussion held in Austin, Texas, with panel members including Deborah Riley Draper, Maya Washington, and Maeyen Bassey.
Revolution of Black Coaches: A Journey Towards the Future, a Tribute to Progress” is a documentary that showcases the visions and achievements of African American coaches. It features conversations with key figures such as Tony Dungy, Paul Tagliabue, Herm Edwards, Art Shell, Bruce Arians, and more, discussing their experiences in the sports industry.
