Stephen Dorff, Radha Mitchell, Cristiana Capotondi Set for Rom-Com ‘No Place Like Rome’ Directed by Cecilia Miniucchi

Actors Stephen Dorff, Radha Mitchell, and Italy’s Cristiana Capotondi will feature in the independent romantic comedy “No Place Like Rome,” directed by Cecilia Miniucchi, a U.S.-based Italian filmmaker known for “Life Upside Down.

Filming has commenced in Rome for the joint U.S.-Italian production, where the story unfolds about Connor, an emotionally troubled American photographer portrayed by Dorff, who journeys from New York to Rome during the festive season for both professional assignments and a well-deserved break.

Instead of going to Rome with his teenage son as originally planned, Connor finds himself encountering an outgoing and attractive Italian museum curb, portrayed by Capotondi, based on the synopsis provided. This woman helps him discover some unique photography spots, leading to Connor deciding to extend his stay for the entire festival duration.

Together, they will unveil secret corners of the Everlasting City, and maybe, just maybe, they’ll find something beyond the ordinary.

Italy’s Elisabetta De Palo, Edoardo Natoli, Sebastiano Pigazzi and Martina Iacomelli also star.

Born in Rome and currently residing in L.A., Miniucchi has a history of work that includes the lockdown romantic comedy “Life Upside Down,” which premiered at the 2022 Venice Film Festival and was later distributed by IFC in the U.S. This was not his first venture into filmmaking; his debut feature, the quirky comedy “Expired,” featuring Samantha Morton, Jason Patric, and Teri Garr, made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival.

The production of ‘No Place Like Rome’ is handled by Jeffrey Coulter, a long-term collaborator of Miniucchi, along with Carl F. Berg. Claudio Bucci and Angelo Frezza from Italy take on the roles of executive producers.
