As Steel Hunters continues its early access journey, the content flow remains robust and unabated. The first season has now been released, complete with an all-new battle pass brimming with goodies. Yet, it’s the appearance of a new character named Taurus that seems to be causing the most excitement. Here’s a brief overview of what you can anticipate with the debut of Steel Hunters Season 1.
Steele Hunters Season 1 Launch with New Battle Pass, Taurus, and Major Gameplay Improvements
In simpler terms, the Season 1 Battle Pass is loaded with goodies! It provides a variety of skins for all grades (1 to 3) for every character, or “Hunter.” Additionally, it offers valuable in-game resources and currencies that are essential for enhancing and upgrading your Hunters. Grinding through the Battle Pass is definitely worthwhile as these currencies give your Hunters extra power!
One compelling motivation for advancing through the pass is that we’re introducing Taurus, a new close-range combat specialist Hunter, this season. The best part? You have the opportunity to acquire him without any additional cost if you’re using either the Pro or Premium versions of the Battle Pass. For those on the free track, Taurus can still be yours through progress and earned premium currency.
Gameplay Improvements & Quality-of-Life Changes
Wargaming doesn’t only focus on adding fresh content; they also pay heed to player suggestions and refine the main gameplay. In the first season, various improvements for user convenience are being implemented, such as:
- Streamlined HUD:
- A simplified and cleaner HUD improves readability and reduces screen clutter during matches.
- Enhanced Unique Skill Tree Nodes:
- Credit costs for unique skill nodes have been reduced by 50%, making them more accessible. If you’ve already invested in these nodes, don’t worry—all credits spent will be fully refunded.
- Clearer Match Progression Indicators:
- Upgrade and level progression indicators are now much more visible, giving players a clearer sense of growth during gameplay.
- Faster Ammo Recharge:
- Ammo recharges more quickly, especially when you’re low on magazines.
- Improved Melee Combat:
- Adjustments to cooldowns and attack ranges make melee fights feel faster and more dynamic.
- Heartbreaker Rebalance:
- Major updates to Heartbreaker’s Railgun and Sonar Pulse improve her viability in team play. Expect a stronger scoped shot and more support utility from her sonar ability.
In Season 1, there’s an abundance of thrilling elements: a fresh Hunter, significant changes to gameplay, and a Battle Pass brimming with content. Now’s the perfect moment to dive into Steel Hunters, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. Grab your gear, and let’s meet on the battlefield!
